Oregon Oregon Fan Force Meeting in Portland

My schedule is pretty much open for whatever date works for the majority of the group...18th or 19th would work out fine for me and Bill.

 

Count me in for the meeting and whatever date we settle on. Place of meeting also doesn't matter to me as I will drive to meet fellow SW fans and events such as the Portland Comicbook show. Which if you didn't attend, you missed out on meeting Darkside Troopers and me. lol. Good times and lots of cool collectibles abound. Mar 18-19th works for me.

 

After speaking with Crashdown and Jawafett at the Comic Book show, we have come up with the details:
Oregon Fan Force Meeting in Portland
03/18/2006 @ 6:00 PM until whenever
It's A Beautiful Pizza (website)
Located at 3342 SE Belmont St

Topics of discusion may/will include:
- Introductions (and expansions on those introductions)
- Star Wars Films, Collecting, Reading Material, Fan Films, costuming, local activities, etc.
- Our own involvement as a "Fan Force" in the state.

We expect this meeting to be a "meet & greet" atmosphere; very laid back, very relaxing. We're not in a spot to really come up with a strict agenda.

I will have nametags there (some of us aren't that great with names (I'm speaking of yours truly, of course). We'll get some tables put together and hopefully have a great ol' time.

For those of you that can attend, we hope you have fun. Please do let us know here that you will definitely be able to attend and if possible how many people you may want to bring - this will help us get the table situation set (please keep it as small as possible, though).

I assume that we will all just spit the cost for pizzas, drinks, etc......give or take?

 

One of the cool things about this pizza place is that you can just walk up to the register and order your slices, drinks, salads, etc and we don't have to split everything up.

I'm sure no one will starve for lack of money. I for one plan on getting a large pizza, which my wife and I will not be able to finish ourselves. So come on Brook, you have to be there.

 

We will be easily recognizable in Star Wars shirts As a deadhead, meeting for Star Wars talk at a place that serves a pizza named for Jerry Garcia is pretty cool. I plan on bring a camera also.

 

Yes - my favorite pizza is the Ravi Shankar (substitute that chicken for tofu, though). It = awesome.

I'll most likely be wearing a Star Wars shirt as well and will get there a little early to arrange the tables so we have enough room for our party. FYI - there may be live music, so I'll try and pick a spot where we can at least hear each other.

Now, what are we to make of this. Of course you are invited to the meeting....you should be leading the meeting. Just because it's in Portland does not mean that you are not invited. You have a car....yes. Or you have a thumb....ha ha (no, please don't hitch hike). But you can find a way if you really try.

Now, do you want to come, or just sit in a corner all by yourself? It's your party... all you have to do is attend.

So my friend's party is at 3:00, so I can probably make it to the meeting. I still have no money.

 

Kind of short notice, but how about we each bring a favorite SW item and have a Show and Tell, like we did when we were in grade school.lol. Plus it helps us to get to know each other better. I would like to hear about and maybe see something else that other collectors/fans have.
