Original Droid Mesh

Whats up guys, been working on this original droid model for a while and I finally have enough done to post some pics.

I was considering posting a WIP thread, but I knew it would be so long in between updates. I still have to tweek the rig (its a biped now and I'd like to make a custom rig) and some aspects of the locomotion but its alomst there.

I've been working in MAX 8 and I started the model back in late February.

Anyway, I'm still not 100% on the name, but right now I'm going with an A-PAD (Armored Pursuit and Detain) Driod.

I'm happy with the result as it's really my largest model project to date. Started as 1 cube and ended up as a walking, talking figure.

The board was filling up with crap until now. Well Done for making something decent. (Not directed at you but the SCIFI-3D as a whole)

 

Umm, there is some fantasic work going on at the moment. I just looked down at the first 10 open threads, and nearly all of them have really great work in them.

 

Nice droid, I don't really like the model to be honest, but the modelling itself is very well done, and the textures look grat indeed! so keep it up

Are ya gonna release it? And would it be in 3DS, LWO, OBJ, or AN8? (Yeah, the 3D for my films is mostly Anim8or) And would ya mind it being in a cameo role in, say, a cantina or as a bounty hunter's aide? Because I think a Jawa bounty hunter flaunting two of those guys would look pretty cool/funny.
