Hawaii ORIGINAL Theatrical Versions of IV, V & VI on DVD in September

Fellow Star Wars fans,

I am one VERY happy nerd right now.

Just found out less than 30 minutes ago that the ORIGINAL versions of A New Hope, The Empire Strikes Back AND Return of the Jedi will be released to DVD in September 2006. BE AWARE that the release will be a LIMITED deal. They will be off the market come December 31st, 2006. So, to the fans that care, DON'T DELAY!

Good stuff!

Reminds me of my old "Star Wars Storybook" from the 70s. It features a pics of good ole' Biggs Darklighter talking story with his buddy Luke. If I'm not mistaken, Biggs was tellin' Luke about his plans to jump ship from the Imperial Academy to the Rebellion.

P.S. Wondering if they'll put the "Episode IV: A New Hope" title on "Star Wars" since it wasn't on the original theatrical release. I'm hoping that they will.........

The fact that the bolded paragraph is no longer up has the potential to make certain fans happy & others worry. For me, it does both.

I'm hoping that they'll include the title "Episode IV: A New Hope" in the 77 film but, to be honest, that would not make it the "original theatrical version". Thus, I'd be a hypocrite.

However, if it means that Han Solo may still not shoot first (as he truly did), I will be TICKED!

I guess we will all just have to wait & see.

Well, at least I still have the originals on THX Widescreen VHS.

May the Original Theatrical Releases be with us in September 2006.

Wait and see seems to be the key phrase in a lot of Star Wars projects! Either way, I'm really happy that some form of the original films are being released. While I enjoyed the SE, I miss the originals (and I'm afraid to watch my mutliple VHS versions too much).
