    I couldn't care less if they were CGI or real puppets. What matters is that they look believable. Ewoks: Fail; You can tell they are teddy bear suits. Gamorrean Guards and other Tattoine creatures? Also bad. You can tell they are wearing masks. On the other hand, you've got The Gungans, Episode II Jabba and other digital characters that you can tell are digital. It's all about using the two techniques to make the characters believable.
