Inspired by the Star Wars: The Clone Wars thread. We know that a lot of characters meet their end in these three movies, but I think the time has come to settle just how many that is. So I'd like to start with all characters that are named (in the films) to my knowledge. We can also separate the counts between named characters and just total kills, including all the faceless soldiers.
If we allow for deaths onscreen but not actually shown up close- about 2 billion for Alderaan and 1.5 million or so for the Death Star.
In the super duper special editions, you'll get an option where an icon will appear displaying the body count.

Yeah I used to play with those. They were my favorite action figures until they accidently ended up in my cousins Kool-Aid, and he drank it up not realizing they were in there and chocked to death. Very sad.
I remembered seeing those images somewhere a few years ago... no idea where they're from originally. When I saw this thread I remembered and did a search for "own and beru burnt action figures." So dark, so funny. So many lols!
Hahahaha, that is ***king genius, very wrong but genius. I bet you would actually get some pilchard buying this if they were available.....
If you're not considering the EU, then why aren't you calling them Walrus Man and... I don't even know if "Evazan" has a non-EU name, actually. Although seriously, we hear groaning after they go down, so I don't think even purely onscreen evidence suggests they're dead.
Evazan was just known as "grubby human." I don't hate the EU or anything, but you can obviously see how it helps with identifying characters. But it retcons the movies in many areas as well, especially when it comes to deceased characters, which is why it's not 100% reliable when discussing the films. Also, like you said, their fate seems pretty open-ended from what's shown in the film. But from behind the scenes materials, I think the intention was that they were killed. There were some especially brutal scripted details that never got filmed (as well as Ponda "Walrus Man" Baba's deleted decapitation). While you may disagree, I still think they should be considered, as the possibility cannot be ruled out.
