ST Oscar Isaac (Poe Dameron) in Episode VII

I honestly have no idea who I'd like to have him play. Him and Gleeson are total wild cards for me, every few days I see them in a different role.

This day, I think I want to see Isaac play an Imperial of some note.

 

Well hopefully the trailer will help but rumors suggest its John Boyega, Daisy Ridley and the Villain...so yeah I mean sheesh seems like if we are not going to go with Driver as the Third Lead doing the turn....that describing the Third Hero as a Lead is being charitable.

 

I agree that the filming of Apocalypse won't interfere with Star Wars. But this news coming out the same day as we got news on the trailer, bad blood between Disney and Fox regarding Marvel properties, and studios being petty does make one wonder. If his character is a supporting player that was meant to survive Episode 7, this is the sort of thing where shots suddenly don't focus on him in the editing room and he dies in the first third of the next movie. Though not knowing much about his character in Episode 7, the original intent all along could be a smaller role in the trilogy. Or if he is key to the story, it would be very difficult to maneuver around him with studio politics.


Either way, I hope his character is seen in the teaser. The more characters shown, the better for speculation around here.

 

Are Studio Politics really that bad? I did not think it was a problem as long as the filming timelines were different and the movies are not going head to head. I mean I know Disney is annoyed that Fox owns the X-men and F4 but I would not think that really hurts Issacs.

Isn't the Wrap the site that published a clickbait piece about Cosby a few days ago, before falling over themselves to apologize, then defend, then apologize for it? Yeah, their credibility is non-existent.

 

Eh, The Wrap is one of the top Hollywood trade websites that consistently breaks the latest news. The Wrap were the first to report JJ was directing Episode VII.

Saying their credibility is nonexistent is ridiculous. You've been misinformed.

 

I know their work. It's an opinion. People who have the (lack of) judgement The Wrap demonstrated this week don't inspire confidence anymore.

 

I think it is pretty clear Isaac is gonna be our third lead.

 

Dat mustache... He looks a lot like Biggs. It'd probably be a stretch to make him the son of such a briefly seen character, but Darklighter is such a cool name

Lando has two inchworms, Oscar has a caterpillar. Clearly, The Force Awakens should have been called "Star Wars: The Order of Lepidoptera."

 

I don't think the OT would have endured all this time if Solo wore a 'stache like this. Stroke of luck he didn't.

Harrison is supposed to be the hot one, so uggleness on his part has priority. But same time, ugh!
