I guessing the ring necklace is either a memento from his parents or he's married and has some off-screen significant other we don't know about.

Poe's costume is too similar to Han Solo costume for me. They could have innovated a little more.

 

They're just his "ground" clothes and not his main flight suit anyway.

Who is Paige Tico??? I understand shes Rose's sister.. I do remember reading in the new article that Her and Poe were in a scene together, or something like that..

 

Poe is training Paige Tico to be a gunner with the resistance....and this is the actress playing Paige (Veronica Ngo)...

 

Interesting. So while Poe may be playing off Vice Admiral Holdo, he also has a comrade. That's cool–he'll probably need one, considering Finn and BB-8 will both be off with Rose and Leia may (or may not?) be comatose.

 

I'm surprised we haven't heard of her (Paige) before? Unless she has pretty much a Jessica Pava role. And is there for Rose to interact with in the beginning so we get a better idea of Rose's character by seeing her talk with someone close to her.

 

I too thought of DJ being Poe's Father. He is Latino; and the right age. Though, the only way I can see them keeping DJ's identity a secret in Episode VIII (as Rian Johnson says in the Vanity Fair article), is if he doesn't have any Scenes with Poe or Leia; since they both know him. But it is definitely possible. Maybe he will only have a Scene with Finn and Rose.

The Set "DJ" is on looks a lot like the Eravana, the freighter ship that Han and Chewbacca owned in TFA; especially the control panel. It was left behind, so maybe DJ took it?

Apparently there's a scene in TLJ where Leia slaps Poe, I'm thinking it's most likely a "Don't you ever do something like that again" slap after Poe does something extremely risky.

i saw a leaked photo for TLJ Lego sets and one of them mentioned a "Captain Poe Dameron". Which means Poe might be getting a promotion,

 

Where did you see those lego sets?

 

The latest Lego set leaks indicate Poe will, at some point, hold the rank of 'Captain.' Assuming it's not in the 'Captain of a ship' sense (which I doubt would be used for the Poe character, a starfighter pilot through and through), we either have a demotion for Poe in TLJ, a product box art error, or an incoming continuity glitch if Poe receives a promotion for his actions in TFA (like in the Empire, 'Commander' outranks 'Captain' in the Resistance Navy). Poe holds the rank of 'Commander' in TFA.

Part of me wants to believe that LF wouldn't let the last one occur, but I've seen to many things like this slide by recently to maintain that belief anymore. Here's hoping that it's just an error on Lego's part.
