That drill instructor was also in The Frighteners with Michael J. Fox. He played a drill intructor in that one too. I also like the drill instructor played by Christopher Walken in Biloxi Blues.....

We just got the frightners out on video. Haven't seen it yet though. I wanted to see some of Peter Jackson's work so I can get a bit of an idea of what to expect from the Lord of the Rings. I know you can judge a producer by past efforts but it's interesting to see their older films. I recently got out THX1138 and American Graffiti for similar reasons.

yeh i agree, i love american graffiti, but disliked THX1138, it's not like the storyline wasn't inventive , but i had a hard time keeping myself awake , it was a very slow paced film

Sort of like 1984, except that I understood what was going on in 1984.

I dont believe it. ILM missed out again and gladiator did have good special FX but I think that Hollow Man's Special FX were far better than gladiators. I hope that ILM cleans up next year will Episode 2 and I hope it gets best picture.

    GO STAR WARS!!!!

The thinking in Hollywood seems to be:
The less shots vs the most shots wins.
