    Congratulations JT!
    :D

By the way, if you spot a Mike Tyson look-alike 'paparazzi' hiding in the bushes, wildly snapping pics during your wedding ceremony - it's probably me...

    <SECURITY>

We are hoping for late-April/early-May 2003.

With my imagination and creative streak, I'm sure it will be an event to remember. ;)

And no ... there will be no sabres-drawn Jedi line-up for us to walk under.

Although, now that I think about it ... it might be fun, when we are announced in the reception hall,
to walk in to the Star Wars Main Theme . . . hmmmmmmmmmm. [face_mischief]

Ummm.. yeah... Don't you realize that you have no say in the wedding plans ? As much as you would like to think your ideas might see the light of day, she and all her friends will be more than happy to show you that you are wrong. :)

BUAHAHAHAHAHAHA toolman I know what you mean i gave my wife my ideas for our wedding. She would come home from her sisters and pow my ideas were ok but not good enough they changed them hehe. So I stopped giving ideas it was a losing battle

Plague, toolman, you guys are lucky!
So you give your ideas and they don't like em. Ok, bad enough.
Now how about when you stop giving the ideas, they whine, "Hey, how come you aren't contributing anything to this wedding??" :D

It's a no win situation. Throw in the white flag and your cash and go for the ride.

Brings to mind a famous quote:
"Marraige isn't a game! A game is something you can have fun with and eventually win! Marraige is a bloodsport!" :p

Ok, ok...so it isn't technically famous...but Rosanne was one heluva good show! :D

TAC, wedding planning will be your first real test as a husband-to-be. See, right before the knot is tied, women (and no offense is intended here) go absolutely CRACKERS. Rest assured, however, this will be the looniest you'll ever see her. Pass the wedding test and the rest is cake.

    TIPS:
The trap goes as such: You'll either be trying to "take over" or you'll be uncaring about "the most important day in her life." NO DEFENSE! As you'r special day draws closer you'll be roped into one of those two categories.

I suggest trying to hit the latter category. Be supportive ("that sound GREAT, dear"), and defer to her as often as you can ("what do YOU think, sweetheart?"). No sarcasm about the wedding -- EVER.

When she gets upset (and she will if you work it right) about your apparent "lack of caring," tell her this:
"As excited as I am about getting married, love, I'm much more excited about BEING married."

This will shut down 80% of the atomic wedding-planning stress -- guaranteed. This is also a good time to remind her that the wedding/reception is all for the two of you. Screw the guests.

Think of the wedding as the brutal hazing that comes before membership into one of the best fraternities you'll ever join.

    Have fun!

She actually DOES like Star Wars, a lot.

However, she isn't at the level where she would be willing to don a Stormtrooper or T'wlik (sp?)
    costume at any conventions. ;)

She get's a kick out of my "JediTAC" persona, though. ;)

[face_laugh] Kinda like Bethoven's fifth, only Star Wars-esque, eh?
