SNG OT Paintball Weekend

Yo, looks like you dudes had a lot of fun playing paintball, go Halo-1 ! That's the name of the team right ?

 

Actually Xeno, those pics are of my staff, playing paintball for the first time. Rookies, Robbie Newbie etc...

My team's are Team Nightmare and Team Halo-Flight.

Nightmare is a 5 man team, with Bill 'The Fish' Fisher as Team Captain, I'm Co-Captain; Timothy 'Deadeye' Lucas Tan.

Halo-Flight is a 3 man squad, with me as Team Captain.

Actually... it would be kinda interesting if we could get a 3-person team of Jedis and a 3-person team of Imperials, and have a Paintball game together - haha!

It could be like Star Wars for REAL!!

Of course, we could also take it one step further by actually playing in costume..... (yeah, I know, I'm nutz!! off my rocker!! )

I dunno, just a thought that was going thru' my mind that I thought I would share in this thread. But I mean, just imagine the possibilities and the "war stories" we would have after that, even Lucas may wanna use our stories to fill in little bits of battle scenes in Episode 3 - LOL!

 

I got a plan ! Imperials, TK-635, 5postboy, Hassan. Jedi's, Yazid, Clare, me. Weapons Jedi takes : Lightsaber Weapons Imperials take : 625 and 5postboy : paintball guns Hassan : Lightsaber. 625, I think you know who is 5postboy right ?

Actually, I was just thinking that it would be a SW-themed thing, instead of the usual, but that everything else would be pure paintball, using markers and so on...

I mean, what's the fun in trying to shoot someone with a lightsaber?!??
That would kinda spoil the whole experience really... well, it would for me at least!

 

I think lightsabres won't work as a weapon in paintball because you can't exactly deflect the paintballs. Plus how are you going to attack? But interesting idea anyway Darth Vader could just stand at one end of the playing field, hold out a gloved hand and pretend to deflect oncoming paintballs

And no way am I ever going to play paintball in my costume -- it's too precious! Maybe we could make armour out of cardboard and pretend to be stormies...LOL. j/k.

Paintball sounds great, but it's kinda ex... Would love to get a chance to play it though.

 

yah nuts man. why dun we 'customize' those painters (well if anyone is willing to own one) into familiar blasters from sw universe? and i'm dying for a painball weekend or something. yo tk, go organize something, i need to shoot ppl!

I'll see what I can do to get a game goin. FYI, it'll be alot cheaper if more players went. Say if 10 players were in, prices you'd be looking at would be around $65 each.

That's $15 for the gun, mask and chest protector and $50 for the paint; 200 rounds.

As promised, I've got another game coming up on Sunday, the 11th May. If anyone's interested, please give JediJean or Darth Eagle a buzz ASAP.

Costs will be finalised once I get confirmation on the number of players going.

Okay, another heads up for the guys going on the 11th of May, Sunday.

It's 1130am at Yishun MRT Station, we'll meet my staff there.

Gearwise, while the major game equipment, namely the Mask, Gun and Chest Protector will be supplied, players would have to wear their own clothes; something for 'Stunt' work.

A long sleeve tee and cargo pants/fatigues/jeans would be good. Comfortable running shoes would help too.

A hat would help prevent paint getting into your hair as well. No worries on the paint, it is water soluble, it won't stain and will wash off easily.

There is also a shower facility there if you want to take a shower after the game.

Hero Props; Props used for close ups where detail is distintive and accurate.

Stunt Props; Used by the extras for stunts, backgrounds, wallflowers etc...

Stunt work = Something you can get dirty in and can handle wear and tear...

WOW!!!
Had such an amazing time today!!
I was buzzin' all the way, from the time I got off the field, right thru' to the time when I reached my workplace, right thru' to the time I left my workplace, and I think I'm still buzzin' right now... LOL!

Thought I wouldn't be able to play Paintball today, since I couldn't get the day off and had to go to work in the afternoon, but I have someone to thank for convincing me to play anyways, 'cos I sure had a blast!!

I was buzzin' sooo much that I actually had to warn my boss just how much buzzin' was happenin' with me... haha!
It's like I've been high and hyper all day today - whoohoo!!

I'd definitely play again... so when's the next game?!?? hehheh!

 

Jean; glad to hear you enjoyed yourself.

Faiz; finally managed to put a face to the name. Pleased to meet ya and glad you enjoyed the game too.

Next game is sometime next month and will keep you guys updated on it. Hopefully, more of FanForce Singapore will be able to make it.
