ot/pt parallel each other

maybe im just a little late in realizing this, but i havent seen any discussion of it around as ive been browsing so i figured id point it out. does anyone else notice that the episodes parallel each other? tpm/anh have the discovery of a new jedi who becomes the main char of the following trilogy and serve to create the background for that characters introduction to the force. aotc/esb show the characters growth and struggle and also the development of the overall political/military struggle. rots/rotj show the characters facing their temptations to the dark side and the resolve of the political/military struggle along with a sort of passing down to those who will be the good guys from now on(jedi->obi wan/yoda and yoda/obiwan->luke/rebellion)

its like the pt and the ot are the same thing structurally, just adressing 2 generations of a family(anakin and luke).

 

George Lucas describes this as rhyming verses of poetry. There are certain themes, rhymes and sounds that are repeated throughout the poem.

Watch the films over and over again--you begin to realize just how similar the stories are.
