Provo Other Fandoms Discussion Thread

I've only seen scattered episodes of 24, stargate, 7 days, atlantis, etc.

 

Cool. Unfortunately I wont be able to buy anything like that for a while. I am looking for a job right now. The one I have is only giving me 16 hours a week so I am not making much at all (not going to school this semester so I can work a lot more)

 

Job market sucks these days, doesn't it? Meh.

 

I got lucky--I was jobhunting for a while and then my brother convinced me to send my resume in to his employers and now I have a steady job that pays well and has benefits.

W00T! Twilight in a week!

 

Lucky. I actually have an interview at another place this week, so hopefully I get the job and they give me a lot of hours.

As for twilight, I don't really know anything about it other than the fact that tons of girls love it and it is about vampires and all the girls are crazy about some guy named Edward. I thought about finding a girl to take on a date to it, lol (no luck in that though). But yeah, don't really know anything about it.

 

LOL, it's about a girl whose lab partner is a 'vegetarian' vampire. She has an irresistible scent to him and isn't afraid of him. Gets into all sort of fun.

 

So what are everyone's plans for Thanksgiving next week? Do you all get to go home for a few days or are you sticking around Provo? My hometown is Lehi so I will just be going home for dinner that day.

 

I'm having Thanksgiving with a friend and her family.

 

I get to go to Cedar City to my cousins place and have my whole family drill me about my girlfriend. Yea!! That was a sarcastic yea by the way.

 

Did anyone else get to see 24: Redemption? I thought it was good just because I like 24, but in terms of story and everything it wasnt quite what I expected. Though It does give some background into what will be the beginning of season 7.

Speaking of 24 I just recently started watching season 3. Trying to watch it completely through. I want to finish watching them all before season 7 starts since I have only seen the first 2 complete seasons. If anyone is interested in watching some 24 let me know. Always funner to make it a "party" or having friends around.

 

On another fandom topic, what did everyone think of Quantum of Solace? I thought it was great! I really love these new Bond films a lot better than the other ones. I just think Daniel Craig is a much more convincing Bond than Pierce Brosnan was.

 

I wish I had time to watch 24! That 2-hour movie looked so good.

Haven't seen Quantum of Solace yet (actually never saw Casino Royale yet *facepalm*), but I did see Twilight. Still interested in reading the books.

I haven't seen twilight, and as you all already know, havent read the books either.

You have got to see Casino Royale and Quantum of Solace. I will make you, even if I have to drag you to the theater to see Quantum of Solace Well... I probably wouldn't have to drag you, you would probably be willing to go....maybe

LOL I do like Bond movies. I love action movies in general.

 

Okay, darn Kateydidnt in general, but she's now got me mildly hooked on Dr. Who. So many timelords, so little time.

 

Yeah! Doctor Who all the way!

Anyone catch the premiere episodes of the new season of 24? They were awesome! Lots of action to start off the season. JACK IS BACK!!!!!!! lol

 

Is anyone watching the new seasons of 24 or LOST? I am watching every new episode of 24. I have been watching this season of LOST as well, but since I haven't seen all the other seasons I am kind of...well, lost.

 

Lost is one of the many shows I got behind on. The only one currently airing that I'm caught up on is Burn Notice. That is so much love.

I have to give a shout out to my Doctor Who love--it is probably the best TV show of all time. The drama, the heartache, the adventure, the Doctor. Seriously, if you all haven't seen it yet, start watching! It is (as Nine would say) fantastic!

I could have sworn I had a billion more fandoms than that...hm.....
