One of the things that has to be decided at our next meeting is "Who will be our City Rep?" In an attempt to make this decision completely fair to all people, this thread will be for nominations. Please read through this carefully!! Item 1: What is a City Rep(CR)? (taken directly from [link=http://fanforce.net/fanforce_faq.shtml#cityreps]Fan Force FAQ[/link]) CR's have essentially replaced what are known as moderators. A moderator is responsibl for maintaining their online forum. However, a CR transcends this role because they are also responsible for representing their chapter and its interests. A CR must be a leader -- capable of organizing and supporting their entire chapter. A CR is elected by the members of a chapter. However, if a group has not yet become a recognized chapter, they may still elect someone to represent them and their interests until said group becomes official. Item 2: Nomination process. It is important to go about electing our CR in a fair way. After discussing this with many other members, (usually via AIM/AOL) we thought someone should post a nomination thread. Here is how the process will go: Any FF member may nominate another member for CR by posting the name of the person they think would best fit the role. Please do not nominate yourself! To nominate someone, simply post "I nominate <user name>" Each name that is nominated must be seconded by another FF member. To second a nomination, simply post "I second the nomination of <user name>" At the meeting on Saturday, we will vote by secret ballot for all the nominees. The ballots will then be counted by two separate people (preferrably non-nominees) to ensure fairness and accuracy. So, let the nominations commence!
