All in good time. It really has been a pain in the shebs dragging this out all season though. I actually goofed up, according to my own outline. The battle circle idea should have been put forth last week. Alas for some reason I didn't realize just how late in the season it was. But It will still work out.

I actually really, really, really enjoyed all of the posts that referred to a "Mr. Halverson" because I knew that it was setting up this wonderful moment down the road.

And Bardan_Jusik I love the fact that Taab will (presumably) not be present on Bakura (unless you've invented a long distance transporter I don't know about) because this is going to provide me with some nice moments in my upcoming epic, Truce Day post. By the way, I love every single one of the names that you come up with for it. Surrender Day, Drop Your Weapons and Run Day. They're all fantastic.

 

I have to keep coming up with more!

Sadly, no Taab won't be present for the Bakura match up. He has a different role to play in my own storyline...

Has anyone else been able to guess the musical theme of this season's home games for the Miners? It's so totally not obvious.

 

My rivalry's so special I even got a custom song in that last post.

The latter part (the Irish folk songs) has certainly extended well beyond this season.

And Liam takes us back to some classic music in his most recent post! Though now I have to wonder if Vayne and Chambers will have their heads in the game for Week 7...could this tryst negatively affect their playoff chances? Hmmmm...I don't suppose that the ship was headed to Cancun, was it Tony and Jessica Gunny and Liam?

Why do I have the feeling like I'm missing the whole joke? (Except I think I might understand it after all; depends on the situation, I guess).

And I think Liam and I were going out beyond this next week in the timeline, if I'm not mistaken. Correct me if I'm wrong, Liam_Vehn.

And I was right on the above part in my mind, but I said "former" instead of "latter".

 

Actually, that would fit the joke even further! In 2007, Tony Romo and then-girlfriend Jessica Simpson were seen during the Dallas Cowboys' bye week in the playoffs in Cabo San Lucas (not Cancun--my mistake!). Questions were raised about Romo's commitment to the team and the playoffs as a result of the fact he was not in Dallas during the bye week. In the playoff game the next week...this happens:



Therefore, having Vayne potentially "distracted" by a date ahead of a Galactic Cup Playoff game would be art imitating life! Also, I would just like to give everyone in this game permission for their teams to have Cowboy-esque disasters. The Miners, of course, never will. I mean, it's not like the Miners are run by a megalomaniac owner who is obsessed with proving his or her dominance of the sport.

Well, at least the Miners' owner isn't also the GM. I mean, then the GM would just be a total jerk who didn't care about alienating even his own fans.
