I have now dropped IC hints about a certain matter that most everyone has heard about by this point. To continue to discuss things in shrouded language, there is a certain matter before the League Board of Governors that will be coming up for a vote. I had intended to present it as a fait accompli, but now I'm thinking that people might actually have some fun casting votes. For reference, the Elite League Board of Governors is made up of representatives of the ownership of each member team, with each team receiving one vote, so each player would get one vote. I would not hold an actual meeting (as somebody once brought about through his storyline...no names to be referenced and certainly none rhyming with Jedi Bunny), just give you the opportunity to vote on two or three matters. There would be strict deadlines associated with the voting...perhaps as early as this Sunday.

Are people interested in this? It could deepen some League politics in your storylines.

 

As my primary character is a team owner I am always up for some league politics.

 

I'd prefer not to, simply because my character is not in any way affiliated with the team other than being a fan. I would have to shift perspectives to do that, which would distract me from my storyline (which is cooking in my head, and I intend to get it going by this time next week). However, I would be willing to go along with it if that's what the majority wants to do.

 

Actually, it would be done entirely by PM, thus resulting in no character shifts for anyone.

 

In that case, I change my vote to "why not?"

 

I have though up a more time efficient option that preserves the secrecy of current events--combine both approaches! In this approach I would have Kayl'hen do her press conference. Then, there would be a leak of, "Guess who voted how!" by someone in the meda. Teams who wanted to take a stand on the issue at hand, once they knew what it was, could PM me to behave their votes "leaked" in the article. People who didn't care could remain anonymous.

There will definitely be no announcement until after Sunday. In fact, there's a 50-50 chance that I'll have to wait until after the Final to do the Commissioner announcement, thus giving way more time to collect votes.

Upon further consideration, I have decided this post will be the 274 season's OP. Therefore, expect it shortly after the Galactic Cup Final and very soon before the 274 Draft. I will be announcing Draft order and dates after the Conference Finals.

Also, a reminder to everyone that votes are due on Sunday for season awards.

May I just say that some oprecently received votes were very interesting ones? I need to consult my previous tally at home to confirm my suspicions.

I will say that I know for a fact there is at least one potential vote still outstanding so it ain't over yet!

I have posted what would technically be Sunday's results already, but like I said earlier I am going to be driving back home from my vacation. I will post the results of Premiership 99 on Sunday June 23rd.
