You just had to match (and go beyond) the Rosterpocalypse didn't you? :p

Should be an interesting off season, and the playoffs haven't even started yet!

Oh yes. Because the Force will be lucky to still have their colors and team name after all is said and done. [face_mischief]

No, casualties of the Wrath of Gunny. Even more impressive kind of pain. ;)

I have the next post plotted out in my head. I just need to get the peace and quiet I need to type it up. That's been the hard part recently, getting peace and quiet.

Oh, jcgoble3, I haven't set the lowest mark for a season all-time. The 265 Chandrila Patriots scored 57 points in that year, and I scored 58. I came oh so close to setting the all-time mark for futility. :p

No no no. Gunny does not get wrath. The Mighty Quinn gets wrath. Why?

*Ignores Cundertol completely, because that's what we all do to him anyways :p*

But I'm sure this offseason will be interesting for the Force.

With six votes in for all-star balloting, I find some of the all-star voting fascinating in terms of trends! However, the process needs to be improved for everyone. I have some ideas about that for the next go-around. I'm thinking everyone will get to nominate players for a ballot that people will get to pick from to make it easier. Even I found it hard to do a ballot!

57 points in seven games for an average of 8.14 points per game. So you DID set the mark for futility by almost a full point per game. :p

No I didn't. The Force played seven games. ;)

As far as voting, that makes sense. However, we'd have an extremely long list of players to choose from, so that might still not be enough to figure out who goes, and who starts/backups, etc.

Considering that nominations were what I wanted in the first place... yes please.

Lots to do. Draft things and all star ballot and all the things. And trying to get this cold to go away. I keep feeling like I'm going to infect people through the internet.

Hmmmm...good point. Even if each team only gave 2 defenders and 2 forwards, that's still 24 nominees for 6 spots (as opposed to 12 nominees for 6 spots if everyone only put one up). Hmmm hmmm hmmm...this requires further thought...

    --EDIT--
Wait, wait, wait. That's wrong. It's by conference, so it's really 12 nominees for 6 spots for each conference's team. Ergo, not such a bad idea now that I put in the requisite further thought. :p

And since we only have nine players, we'd have 9 nominations for 6 spots.

Then that brings up the issue of ties/how to determine who starts. I really don't like using a die roller here, but it might clear up confusion.

Also need to factor in representation, making sure a team isn't left out.

I'm good with the GM determining all ties in any way he sees fit. Whether he uses a die roller or a dartboard or just plays favorites, doesn't matter to me :p

My thought was actually that those 2 nominations wouldn't span the entire team. They'd span a position for forward and defense. To make my thinking more clear:

Head coach: 6 nominations, 1 chosen
    Goalkeeper: 6 nominations, 2 chosen
    Defense: 12 nominations, 6 chosen
    Midfielder: 6 nominations, 1 chosen
    Forwards: 12 nominations, 6 chosen

I would ensure that there was balance so every team had at least one player. As for start/sit tiebreaks, that could be determined by die roll or perhaps I could use team stats as a tiebreak. Since I intend to retain the rule of "you can't vote for yourself", taking out a person's vote for themselves (if applicable) wouldn't do anything.

I was actually looking forward to you posting a video of using a dartboard to determine tiebreakers. :p

But that makes more sense, nomination-wise.

Actually, I would use my fantasy football draft order determination method. I would write the name of each nominee on a tennis ball and then roll them all down a hill. Then I would release a Golden Retriever to run down the balls. Whichever one he comes back with gets the slot. :D

What happens to the Golden Retriever when the chosen player does not perform?

Got my ballot in [face_relieved]I say that if we have to do that again we should get a bonus roll ;)

Blue and Gold? Really? Now we desperately need some scarlet and gray uniforms to balance things out. :p

    No, we need,

Red, the blood of angry men
Black, the dark of ages past
Red, red a world about to dawn
Black, the night that ends at last

But anything's better than cardinal and white. Ugh. :p

*realizes he put Niskat Deenever with the Sky Captains whose colors are red and white*

    ...

    Oops.
