Apparently I can beat NPC teams if I don't have a bonus roll... funny how that works.

 

Don't think about it too hard or your head will explode.

I'm sure it would be about as enjoyable as watching your team get run over by an NPC team.

I must say that being in the lead of the Skywalker Conference feels good. I won't talk about the narrow victory over the Monarchs because in my mind the non-conference games aren't as important and I don't want to be cruel to CPL_Macja. I've gone down that horrible path of laying a giant egg (0-7) in 255 and that was horrible. Just horrible. So in a way I'm sorry you lost today. The rest of the season is where the goodies happen. Conference play, Thanksgiving, and some turducken.

 

And playing your biggest rival.

 

You got that right. I'll unveil my treat for you in a little bit. Stay tuned.

 

I just hope we are both in contention at that time, makes the game even more fun.

The Smugglers have overtaken them as my greatest rival, we are at least in the same conference.

 

I was legitimately confused for a moment because Thanksgiving was a month ago. And then I remembered. America.

But yes, the all-important conference play. I'll see you next week in what has to be one of the easiest road trips distance-wise

Some quick statistics to consider.

Since the re-introduction of conference play, there have been 16 potential non-conference games for the six teams that have been in the league all five seasons. (Miners, Mercs, Storm, Senators/Force, Smugglers, & Monarchs)

Of those six there are:
* Three with 8-8 records (Storm, Senators/Force, & Smugglers)

* Two with losing records: Mercs (7-9) & Monarchs (5-11)

* One with a winning record: Miners (9-7)

For the three player teams who have come in since: Packers (3-5), Starkillers (7-6), & Lightning (5-5)

So what does this all mean?


I hate non-conference play!!! Monarchs non-conference winning percentage 0.275!!

Interesting that it was my last game against the Miners that puts me at 7-9 and Trieste at 9-7. If not for that you would be the only player around since the inception of non-conference play with a losing record.

 

...the Miners are actually winning at something over the course of more than one season?

By the way Runjedirun I see what you're doing there. You're trying to make me feel bad about the Week 8 Baura/Ralltiir game. If Bakura wins, Fenton will be depressed and he won't work out. Then I will feel bad. Sneaky, sneaky stuff.

It's also too bad I already wrote my game post because if I hadn't I would totally have included a play-by-play description of one of the Merc defenders looking to pass out of the zone, the midfielders being covered by Glencross and Pic, a pass to one of the center half backs that Niskat Deenever would have read absolutely perfectly, picking off the pass on the run and going in for a beautiful top shelf score. Why would I have included that this morning and not yesterday? Might have had a little something to do with an absolutely beautiful goal scored last night by a certain someone in his hockey league.
