OOC Out of Bounds (The ELL OOC Thread)

Actually, that's pretty spooky for me Bardan_Jusik. My sister, younger Jacen, once slipped through bleachers a number of feat up. Somehow came out unscathed and without anything more than soreness and maybe a cut or bruise. Scary moment for the family. I wonder if she still remembers it...

I'm hoping lightning strikes twice.

 

We all know that he's going to end up as a bionic Gary Stu who can shoot lasers from his eyes and crush boulders with a single touch of his pinky, all while singing the "2 and a Half Men" theme song.

At 1-7, who could get any respect?

By the way, I assume nobody has any new game members waiting in the wings? Now would be a good time to direct them to me.

 

Eh, they're an NPC team. We don't care about 'em anyways.

 

Who was their one win against?

 

Chandrila. So no big loss.

 

So they only other team they can beat is an NPC team.

 

It saves all of us who played the Rebels this year from being mercilessly ridiculed.

Hey everyone, I've got two questions, one raised by one of the players:

• Should there be a minimum age to play in ELL? I would say yes so as to not undermine the college game or at the very least direct talent to leagues like the LFL for development.
• Corellia: should they stay or go for 277?

 

Yeah there should be a minimum age. I know I mentioned earlier that Mandos are adults at 13, but I stay away from bringing that sort of thing up too often in RPGs because it causes too many issues. I would guess either 18 or perhaps 21 or 22 would be the ELL minimum age.

Unless there is a PC team ready to join the game I say we keep the Rebels.

Different leagues have opinions on this as follows:

NBA: One season of college ball or about 18 if an overseas prospect.
NFL: Two years of college ball
MLB: Allowed in from high school (but the minors typically prevent players from making it to the big leagues quickly)
NHL: Similar situation


So we could go many ways with this. I don't like having an age limit, frankly. It's just a pretend game.

And keep the Rebels unless we have another player team.

 

I also forgot that we should examine whether we want to keep Ylesia in the League if Becca is not in position to return to the game. I generally prefer to not have former PC-teams (Patriots excepted for sentimental reasons) in the game as NPCs since it does kind of take the shine off of being able to abuse NPC teams at will as we all enjoy doing.

Also said because Ylesia is doing really well unlike the other NPC teams this season.

Yeah, Denon would be a great addition.

 

Just spoke with Becca. She believes that she will be able to join next season. She would not be a draft team and I would probably only have confirmation as of April 24. However, the 277 season is slated to start on May 4 so that would give us time to substitute out if needed.

 

Sounds good to me, you're the boss.

I didn't even realize! We'll have to have an outstanding opening day as a result.

 

Minimum age: Keep in mind that I teased you guys with the possibility of Tendra Nalo going pro at 16. I would say that ELL players must be 18 years old or a graduate of a traditional high school (one where the typical graduating age is 18).

Corellia Rebels: Keep unless we can bounce them for a new player.

Ylesia Lightning: If Becca can't return, keep unless we can bounce them for multiple new players. If we get exactly one new player and Becca isn't coming back, I would prefer to bounce the Rebels first since they don't have an LFL team and the Lightning does, which makes my job a little easier by not having to find a replacement for the Lightning. With two new players, I'm split on whether to bounce the Patriots or Lightning first for the same reason (Trieste knows what I think about keeping the C-Bucs around).

 

Hope Becca comes back!
