Now that's how to do a Hall of Fame post, Jedi Gunny.
Thanks. I'm rather proud of how it came out.
It's also a testament to the game and its longevity.
CPL_Macja I still have a giant grin on my face from the reappearance of S.P.E.A.R. in this game. But last I checked Marea Hyll was a Ylesia Lightning fan.
Scores coming shortly with all the usual final week craziness. However, conference record should make this easy to break down.
Oh, the Mercs won, poor Jacen....
Great post Jedi Gunny, way to lay it down for the rest of us . And Nar Shaddaa drops the last game so maybe Tover rested the starters after all....wild finish to the Skywalker Conference. Nearly every team in the playoffs is a human one. Yay! Here's to a human-human Final however it shakes out.
Let's give a big round of applause to the hated dice roller for helping the Monarchs, led by CPL_Macja, get into the playoffs! Way to go Rydonni Prime! It's been a hard road but they're in. Congratulations!
THE PLAYOFF DROUGHT IS OVER!!!!!

Noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo--*takes a deep breath*--oooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo.
Totally did not see Euceron coming from behind to take the second seed in the Skywalker Conference!
And apparently Bakura is walking into a literal war zone on Rydonni Prime next week. That should be interesting. And man, the first overtime Truce Day Game. What a way to end a regular season. Between teams like the Miners and the Senators, overtime is the only way that a game like that should really end. Actually, no, double overtime is the only way!
Notes for everyone:
Please get me your draftees ASAP. I forgot about that. I try to make it so that you decide to participate in the draft without knowing where you will be drafting...which obviously isn't going to happen this year.
Also, it's a good year when the second overall pick is going to a team with a 4-5 record and the third overall pick to a 5-4 team.
If today's results change any of your season award nominations, feel free to PM me with those changes. You have until the end of the day.
Eh, I lost, but at least it was a good game. That's all I can ask for from my broken, battered, bruised, and bloodied (how many more b-word adjectives can I use? ) team in a ridiculous road rivalry game.
But this means that we're going to be hungry for next season. Look out, Solo Conference. You haven't heard the last of the Senators. Not by a long shot.
The deeper Euceron goes, the longer I can procrastinate on my end-of-season post.
So I miss the playoffs in both leagues on the last day.
Look on the bright side: you have more time to come up with wonderful plots for next season, both for the game and for CAoS.
Speaking of the bright side, I just discovered this in the library thread:
That works out well, doesn't it?
No, you're probably going to have a storyline of Christine going emo because she is sitting around injured, Ava returns to taking drugs because she's depressed, and Gark has a mental breakdown because the Senators missed the playoffs. Meanwhile, Steen is going to run off to join Vesper and Furey with S.P.E.A.R.
So, basically, the extra time isn't really appreciated, because Bardan isn't the only one who can make things rough on their characters.
Oh, and the Awards post says "you can vote for your own players and staff". What if you don't have anyone from your team to vote for? I've broken the Fourth Wall of Limmie! As has Tim.
Can does not equal must.
And nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo. Not a relapse with Ava!
I don't even have the option.
And you'll just have to find out.
HSN Draftee Rankings are coming tomorrow now that all draftees are in. Let's see how the Big Board fares when compared to the dice roller.
Considering that I used the die roller for those results, yeah . . . I expect a bunch of strange stuff.
And the draft rankings are out. Who likes the Big Board players the most?
Augustina Dekula: Big Board--but a second round pick isn't beyond the question if this is a defense-heavy draft
Sutton Millard: Equal--both say she's terrible (for a galactically-ranked defender candidate)
Morganthow: Equal--solid but not great
Dorvan Fiesta: HSN Rankings by far
Patti Meter: Equal--but Big Board probably likes her a bit more as the top D prospect
Lyle Kent: Equal--both say good, but not great
*sends off scouts to find a sleeper in the bottom of the rankings*
Am I good? I'm good.
I'm liking these HSN Morning Headlines.
Same. Keeps us non playoff teams in the loop and possibly even something to do and add if we decide to rid ourselves of coaches/staff.
As in my actual job, it's just a matter of having content. Or, perhaps in the words of William Randolph Hearst, "You provide the pictures and I'll provide the war."
I thought it was my job to provide the war?
