Saw this in the mall this morning and it pretty much made me laugh out loud. You have to use something similar if the Miners really are out of contention this season:

I don't think one loss will kill the Miners in the preseason rankings.

After all, we all know that losing in the preseason leads to better success in the actual season.

Although if the Miners ever lose 2 consecutive games, which hasn't occurred in a bajillion years, it seems, then we can start to crater them in the rankings.

 

I can't read the postscript, which I imagine is the best part.

Also, Bakurans have Yuletide. This may or may not be playing into a post somewhere around Week 4 or 5 of the season.

 

That reminds me that I need to write out the annual Senators get-together abut that time . . .

Let's give the Miners four or five bajillion losses this season, then.

 

Soooooo...I just realized something this morning. If you had a being of average maturity rate, like a human, who was born when the very first limmie game was played in the Silver Age...that being would now be at least a senior in high school.

That's right--this game has had so many seasons that in the next draft there could be a straight-from-high-school player whose lifespan falls entirely within its bounds.

I feel old.

 

Don't think I haven't noticed this as well...

 

Plus it would be a player who grew up in the Miner-Smuggler era of dominance.

Yuck.

 

Maybe such a player will emerge in the draft a few years from now. A player who was a Rebels fan early on in his life but became a Mercs fan out of necessity. A player who loves limmie with all his heart and soul and after college will enter the draft with dreams of playing on a real ELL squad...

 

...wait...I thought that potential player was dead Bardan_Jusik...

Knowing the track record of most potentially dead PCs in this game, chances are good Jacen is still kicking. Besides, we were never shown he died; just a hospital bed.

Man, it seems like Aron Rodders retires and everybody just decides to start relaxing. I had no idea he made you all so uptight.

 

I think it was the Miners' success that made it that way.

 

I bet that in his new life as an insurance salesman he's helped Christine and the entire Vigo family save loads on their speeder insurance too, right?
