So what are the odds that Rookie of the Year goes to a Storm player?

 

Probably pretty high. Apparently a team struggling to find an identity like that usually does well in this game.

 

I think the problem will be narrowing it down to just one of their players.

Well both Randy and Justin predicted a terrible year for them, so I think I just assured them a Galactic Cup this season.

I can see it now:

Storm Team Strengths: Have a plan.
Storm Team Weaknesses: Plan could go south in a hurry.
Wild Card: Make up plan as you go along.

Trieste, I only just now realized where Niskat Deenever's name comes from. I'm either incredibly thick-headed or incredibly ignorant of pop culture, probably a combination of both. (And no, I've never seen any of the Hunger Games movies, nor read any of the books. Nor do I intend to.)

 

That makes two of us. It just seemed like a fun name to use and now it's a thing.

Are they taking bets on if the award will be won by the entire team as a whole?

On another note entirely, today is Thanksgiving Day in the United States. For my part, I remain thankful that I get to interact with all of you on such a regular basis to tell some really great stories and have fun pouring all of our own sports joys and frustrations into this crazy game.

 

I have a feeling the Vigo family politics are going to get even more complicated with these new developments . . .

 

Let's just say these last few weeks in the DC area have been nothing but QB controversy ridiculousness. So if the Starkillers don't go out and score 30+ points per game I have lots of material

 

The NFL is rife for awesome stuff to steal and use in this game.
