I've had an inquiry that I wanted to float with the gang to see how people felt about it. Someone was curious about the potential to have a character who was with the player's union, a body that's been pretty vague and undefined thus far. The idea was to have this character interact with other characters who wanted to do so. The way it's been framed thus far, it sounds more like it's about collaboration than it is trying to go too deep into the union itself. What are your thoughts and questions about this idea?

 

I think it could be fun...up until the time we organize a player strike.

 

Always up for colab posts, and it seems like an interesting idea. So I'd be game to see where it goes.

 

My current character could certainly make it interesting.

 

I believe that our GM is still too upset over the loss of a complete NHL season to ever allow that to happen.

Speaking of Trieste, he screwed up the latest draft post. The commish announced that the Miners made the pick, when it was actually the Monarchs.

Back to the topic of the union, I do support the idea, though. Depending on what direction it goes, I could potentially see Tendra interacting a bit. Hell, if we had a player character who was a referee, a union rep ought to be a piece of cake in comparison.

Also, in honor of the Stanley Cup Final kicking off, I had to draft The Wookiee. I mean, he basically is one already.

 

That was my favorite part of the all-star skills challenge this year.

I think Michonne might want to introduce herself to the C-Bucs very soon after that. A very painful introduction, like a shutdown, maybe?

And you know what was also amazing? Leia Adama announcing that draft pick. Man, the Miners are going to have quite a time making Mr./Ms. Irrelevant live up to that!

Start the 284 season on June 5 or June 12?

 

I vote for June 5.

 

Currently, we have four friendlies, including the Marauder Melee, scheduled for June 5 (per this post). Therefore, I vote June 12.

 

Either or works for me, but if pressed I would say the 12th.

 

If there was a preference for June 5, I'd hurry that up, but it would be a bit tight.

Also, I drafted Burrnsbacca and Jo Pawvelski (who is a real cat) in the same draft year.

 

I'd still like to do my friendly on the 5th and start the season on the 12th. Gives my players a little chance to compete for their starting spots.

 

Yeah I am thinking more and more the 12th for myself as well. Gives me a chance to fill some roster spots.
