OOC Out of Bounds (The ELL OOC Thread)

I will try to get to those tomorrow. Any druthers on when the ASG results should be rolled? I'm thinking Wednesday, to make it three consecutive days, but I'm open for whatever.

 

That makes sense. Rising Stars on Monday, Skills Challenge on Tuesday, and All-Star Game on Wednesday. Very similar to real-life sports, where the skills-type competition (e.g. Home Run Derby) is usually sandwiched between the young players game the day before and the main ASG the day after.

 

The results are now posted.

The Monarchs come out as big winners with 2 wins, while the Miners had one win and a close call in the Longest Score. The Mariners won a very close contest, and the Starkillers also won an event. The Senators had Top-3 in 4 events, but failed to record a win despite sending it to OT in the Goalkeeper Challenge.

The All-Star Game result will be posted tomorrow. It will use the familiar quarter system, unlike the half approach in the Rising Stars Game.

Also, any feedback for what I'm doing would be great. I need to know if things are/aren't working, and if I can improve anything. Also, if anyone has ideas for additional events, I'm all ears.



OK, maybe not that crazy.

 

I think things are going great! The three days of updates are fun. My board time has been limited this week, but I'm definitely working in ASG things into my character post this week (especially because who wants to talk about a game against an NPC? So less interesting than the ASG!).

Awesome game! I think this was one of the best All-Star Week events in a while.

The idea for the park segment came from Justin Bieber basically doing the same thing, which I first heard about from one of the DJs on SiriusXM Prime Country. As soon as I heard it, I knew I had to make a post of it.

 

Tendra is way cooler than any pop star.

 

As someone who has been on game sidelines with a camera (video, not still), I find Tamon's experiences especially interesting because I have lived them. So bravo to you, Trieste , for bringing that to life.

The only thing that Tamon hasn't experienced that I have, though, is almost getting run over by someone twice your size.

 

Incidentally, that did once nearly happen to me...except we were running in the same direction and I had a giant flag at the moment in question...

Not to beat my own drum or anything, but my limmie characters made an appearance for the EUC/SWC Olympic opening ceremony. I figure some of what I posted is humor only this lot, who is more used to them, will truly understand.

 

We have crossover appeal! YAY!

 

Might help others to see the ELL and gain us some new recruits too....

 

If anyone could get new recruits, it'd be Randy and Justin.

 

Don't forget to show them the recruiting video that Vehn made. Even though it's somewhat dated as far as the team lineup, it emanates the essence of the game.

Just watched the trailer for the new King Kong movie, whole time wondering if/how Trieste is going to work a reference in, then how would I do it.

I don't know if this means I should be play this game less...or more.

 

I wanted to give everyone a heads up that I'm around.....but not really around. My time has been pretty close to zilch for ELL this season. That's okay because the Smugglers aren't going anywhere. I'm not going to quit so I'll squash those rumors right now. I just am not able to continue my posting for this season at the very least.
