I wouldn't worry about it. NPC teams always look tough, but usually player teams can vanquish them.

Oh really? We mock the randomness of the scores in-character fairly frequently. Or at least Bardan_Jusik does.

 

Watch for Bardan's teams to suddenly encounter scandal and his characters to mysteriously disappear when playing NPC teams soon then.

 

Well, he once had the authorities on an NPC team's planet arrest his team owner for murder. As for scandal, after the end of a war, he initiated one with the public execution of the defeated and captured enemy leader on the field before a game on a live HoloNet broadcast. (Yes, that really happened.)

That's nothing... my first season I had my rising star character die in the middle of a game of a drug overdose set to Pink Floyd's Comfortably Numb.

And with that post I am sure I jinxed someone's season. Probably my own, but we'll see. Hopefully all the NPCs collapse down the stretch and we get an all PC team playoffs.

By the way, with Spring Training now beginning…has anyone ever thought of a Star Wars Baseball version of Limmie League before? I'd be so all over that.

 

I think the sport itself is called Light Ball in this universe, Trieste's PC in 279 played it recreationally if I recall. I also had a guy that preferred it over Limmie, he's dead now.
