Well, I think two championship appearances in three seasons would make the Marksmen superior to most PLL competition that would look to play friendly games outside of development affiliations. So basically our affiliates are better than those that aren't.

And hooray for Free Agency!

So I was thinking about making the schedule today (I know, novel idea with less than ten days to the start of the season, right?!?!) and I realized something from this season:

• Coruscant Senators at Bakura Miners
• Rydonni Prime Monarchs at Bakura Miners
• Nar Shaddaa Smugglers at Bakura Miners
• Mando'ade Mercs at Bakura Miners

What does that mean? Well, it means that the Miners hosted every single Solo Conference team this season. I think it's only fair for every team to get 2 home games and 2 away games in conference play. That only makes sense in my mind.

What this means is that your team may have to visit a team for a second straight year or host a team for a second straight year. I'll do my best to try and not have that happen, but with a new schedule format, well, you know, "These things do happen."

(And of course, "Until you stop these things from happening, this thing does not happen!")

With new teams and the separation into conferences, things like this are bound to happen. I won't sweat it too much if the Mercs have to travel to Bakura again this year. Especially if it is for Truce Day.

 

You do realize that you could have pulled that on us in the schedule and you'd be sitting pretty, right?

 

Actually, that's last season's schedule. If I pulled that, then I would wind up visiting all of you guys in the Solo Conference Death March of Deathly Death Deathiness.

 

Which you would naturally run through with an undefeated season, only to fall in the Solo Conference Championship game to a team that just squeaked into the playoffs.

 

Nah, the Skywalker Conference is going to run the table this year.

 

Skywalker? The Conference of whiny farm boys everywhere? Nah, I will take my chances with the Conference that shoots first.

 

Dubya won't like that, armor boy.

 

He will like it even less when the Mercs take home the Cup!
