OOC Out of Bounds (The ELL OOC Thread)

Great idea, lets get to it!

I've got a few candidates that should be in....

 

I do as well. It helps when I go back and read the earlier pages of the thread once in a while.

 

Wow, look at you guys. Thinking about stuff all smart-like while I'm not assiduously checking the boards. I better be careful or you're going to think you don't need me. Didn't help that I already showed that Liam can do scores better than I can.

I do like jc's idea that there are a ton of beings in the Hall that we just haven't said are there so we can have new inductees each year, but we don't have to be limited by any set number as we can continuously update the thread to include people who had already been in there.

I also want to point one other thing out: this is the Limmie Hall of Fame, not the Elite League Limmie Hall of Fame. Achievements from other leagues, like those of Zeke's dad, can absolutely carry enough weigh to get one inducted. For example, Marte Nalo won a whole armful of Premierships, didn't he? That's precisely the sort of achievement that could see someone inducted. Granted, most people are recognized for achievements at the highest level, but that doesn't always have to be the case. Just something to think about if you're a team that's short on Elite League history, but has been around for a while. I can't help expansion teams too much though, but I figure that there are still people in your organization that played elsewhere.

Oh, one more thing that's been knocking around my head: I usually announce the Galactic Cup Final location around Week 3 at the latest. If you're interested in hosting it, now would be the time to talk to me about it.

 

Good point about including other leagues. I had forgotten about that.

And Euceron will stay out of the Final bidding this year and try for it next year when the roof is finished. Though the season hasn't slid so far into the Eusebus winter yet that the roof would likely be needed for the Final anyway.

 

I've never bid for the Final, and that won't change now.

 

Mandalore hosted it a few seasons ago, that puts us out of the running.

 

Maybe it'll be at another non-ELL venue this year. Just to mix things up if no one puts their hat in the ring.

 

The Arsenal would be a nice venue.

 

Pro non-ELL venue.

Although it might be interesting to have a college stadium host it, but I don't think the Commish would like that too much.

 

You're just jealous because the Force play in a college sized stadium on Thyferra.

But yeah, pro only venues makes sense, hopefully someone will put in a bid.

 

At least people at my stadium don't actually have to use binoculars to see the action from the cheap seats.

But, anyways, I think that settles our little discussion here.

Is this the year Bakura comes back to host the Final, or will someone new put their hat in the ring? Film at 11!

EDIT: And now my pseudo-storyline is really heating up!

 

Can't beat winning the Final at home. So I'm opting out this year.

 

You'd be ineligible to get the Final anyways.

Although I'm having a hard time remembering what venue did the 267 final . . . Because that's now eligible once again . . .

 

Euceron did it in 267, but as I said, I'm waiting until next season when the roof is finished.

Also, Final venues can be looked up in the season posts in the library thread.

 

All I know is that Rydonni Prime is out as is Balmorra since they are hosting the Premiership at their new stadium.
