Sunday can't come soon enough then . This just gave me another piece to the masterpiece post I'm cooking up right now. Also this just makes me love this game even more

 

Ok my nominations and potential draftees have been sent in.

 

I'll get my picks in tomorrow, along with any noms and other ideas I may have.

 

No rush, as long as they're in before Sunday.

Also, all of the participating teams and draftees are listed in the 272 draft thread. And yes, someone did submit more than their obligatory three to give us some nice choices.

Hm, interesting list there. This will be an . . . interesting draft, I must say. Especially since there are a lot of goalies now and not a lot of others.

 

Does anyone else find it odd that twin Trandosians are from the University of Kashyyyk... doesn't that seem to be oxymoronic?

I will admit I did a double take when I saw that.

 

They're trying to break down racial barriers I guess.

I like option two.

Though if you have a walking carpet on your team at least you know these lizards can work with them.

I wonder if the same team will try to draft the pair...

 

Too bad they weren't named Sedin.

Oh wait, somebody once had a pair of Sedin twins in a previous iteration of the game. Henrik and Danael. They were on Liam_Vehn 's favorite team.

 

I figured that if the Kashyyyk Rangers could get Wookiees and Trandoshans to work together on one team, then perhaps the racial barriers between the two species are finally being torn down. After all, we are roughly 250 years, give or take a few, past the films, so it stands to reason that there could have been some changes in that time. That was my basis for putting Trandoshans in the U of Kashyyyk.

Speaking of the Rangers, by the way, I just looked at the Rangers' old roster. I wonder if Ruunjaa and Ruunron are any relation to Jowruun. Perhaps an older sister, or even their mother? I'm not going to establish anything there right now, but it's something to think about for whoever drafts these lizards.

 

We've already broken the barrier with the old Rangers, so I wasn't surprised at all.

 

I hope no one is counting on help for the Midfield position coming in the draft.

I have now sent in my draftees. And one of them was a midfielder.

 

Good to know my not so subtle hint worked.

 

Actually, Limmie has historically been a bridge for species. The Rangers have indeed tried bringing on some Trandoshans to promote peace between the two. It's sometimes a tenuous peace, but it's held more often than not. The Sabilon Skookumchucks of Glee Anselm helped to heal the divide between the Anselmi and Nautolans as well.

Of course, the Smugglers and Miners drove Ssi-Ruuk and Bakurans even further apart. So it's not exactly foolproof.

 

I didn't even see your post before I sent my draftees in, so I guess it was a super-subconscious decision on my part somehow influenced by a post I never saw. Because that makes sense, right?
