Since three of my Chiefs characters were nominated, I better stick around a little while longer.
@Trieste, your revenge for players starting wars on you is to kill half of
@CPL_Macja 's team?
Actually that was my doing as well

I still approve.
For the record, yes, I really did nominate for the sportsmanship and athletic excellence award a player that I was reasonably able to suspect would spend part of his final game of Limmie streaking. That could make for an interesting award ceremony.
Thanks for getting that image in my head. Thanks a bunch.
No Roethlisberger apology speeches then?
Who has anything to apologize for in this League?
@Jedi Gunny when do you want our Helmsmen votes in by?
I was going to do a random die roll, frankly, since we didn't actually play the college game this season.
But if you guys want to vote, then go ahead and do so. I guess I'll listen to your noms. But the die roller probably won't.
Opps, I forgot you were doing it randomly this year
I was just reading old Temp board stuff and that jumbled my mind.
No apology speeches that's a relief. What are the policies on fines and bounties? Are the a part of the league?
Some members of my team make that a part of their off season training regimen.
Yup, just some. I was actually going to mention it in my next post which I am working on now. Hopefully that will be done by the end of the day.
Fines and suspensions: a very real part of the game determined and handed out by me as Commissioner. And yes, the Miners have received disciplinary action (the forefeiture of the entire team's pay for one game after a pregame brawl) so I am completely impartial.
Bounties: Well, that's funny you should mention that. Because at one point
@Bardan_Jusik had a bounty put out on Alana by her archrival Ryi Kor'le. Nobody collected it, but she was under the protection of Bakuran Federal Marshals until the bounty was lifted. Curiously, there was no disciplinary action taken for that.
Murder: Yeah, we're working on that one since Bardan may or may not have killed the Scheduling Committee chairman.
Oh and driving home last night I realized that in my dilemma of which direction to go next season, the completely different perspective makes more sense than going into Trieste family history as it relates to the Miners. So I know which way I'm going to go now. I think it'll be interesting.
Not only was there no disciplinary action, I was awarded to host the Galactic Cup finals that year.
Of course in fairness that bounty was placed on Glencross before I took over the team.
And since my name has been mentioned here, I would point out that I made it a habit of getting fines from the league for my IC actions. Critisizing the refs, the league, and so forth. It is something I have gotten away from the past few seasons. I think I should bring that kind of thing back to the forefront.
Edit: Yes I mentioned Reg Dun'lop in my post as a potential hire for the Mercs,. No, I have no intention of actually trying to do something like that.
Actually, I think you should hire Vorn Burner as your head coach. I hear he's going to be looking for a job soon when the Shadda-Bi-Boran Chargers fire him.
Also, most awesome Miner playoff song ever this year. Though, with my luck I won't get to use it much.
Hey, I certainly hope that's the case after all is said and done.
I actually contemplated having Reg Dun'lop place a bounty on a player's head just to stir up his team. But I thought I'd spare you guys at least one Slap Shot reference.
Wait, that didn't happen?
Could've fooled me.
@Jedi Gunny, that is an awesome pre-game speech.
