Not anymore. Asajj Ventress is specifically noted as not being a Sith in the same way Galen Marek isn?t (another project that seemed to have Lucas oversight). However even with just Asajj it is clear that now Lucas believes that their are only two Sith whilst it is ?acceptable? to have ?Dark Jedi?.

No, his destiny is to destroy the Sith, nothing more; something no other person had been able to do in thousands of years. Lucas has made clear that Anakin did not need to fall to the dark side... thus this argument is rendered immediately defunct.

And in the context of the EU, this still makes sense. Bane's Sith Order has been continually built up as the most evil line of Darksiders the galaxy has ever known. Bane basically exposed how clownshoes the existing Sith Order was at the time, and even goes on to mock the futility of the One Sith via holocron. The Rule of Two, concentrating so much knowledge and Dark Side abilities into so few individuals, was a dangerously effective notion. Anakin's destiny was to put a stop not necessarily to the Sith, but to these particular Sith because the Force knew (in its ethereal semi-conscious way) that they needed to be stopped. And Anakin pretty much succeeded. Lumiya went on to call herself a Sith, but in reality she was nothing more than a half-trained acolyte with nowhere near the requisite knowledge or power to stand among her predecessors. Palpatine's resurgence was an abortion from the start, both from the defects in the clone bodies and the utterly stupid attempt to take Luke as his apprentice. In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if his return was retconned into a bunch of insane clones that didn't actually have Palpatine's consciousness. Basically, the events at Endor ended any chance of the Banite Sith surviving.
