PT "Outlander" Social Club: Darth Chiznuk's hangout till October

I have a bootcamped Mac running XP. I should probably name it something groan-worthy like Locutus, as it's the best of both worlds.

 

One of these days I should try out Bootcamp, just to say I have.

 

I thought bootcamp was fun... back in '89.

 

Yeah, you honestly should. The really neat thing about it is that alot of the minor features that make OSX so great-like the bluetooth file-sharing system, and automatic wireless connection, and so on-still work on your Windows side.

Plus, of course, if you install windows xp, or vista, or seven, and you don't like them, you're not saddled with a computer you hate using.

edit: iirc, there's also a way to use Bootcamp with Linux OS's. Never done it as I don't have a reason to do so, but the capability is there.

No I've never used BootCamp because I have no reason to reboot into full Windows. I just use Parallels and it works fine. At home I spend 99.9% of my time in Mac OS. At work, I use Windows more.

 

Urgh...I really hate parallels, personally. A few of the programs I need for work won't work on it.

 

Yeah see I use IE and Office.

Not that I feel bad about it, but The Governator and Judge Dread got ripped off by Konami back in the day. This talk of Modern Warfare got me thinkin about those early games that paved the way...

The evolution of video games is quite interesting, considering that we started out with "Pong" and have progressed to games like MW2.
