over all best star wars scene

Pretty much the entire Tatooine segment of AOTC...

or perhaps the scenes in Palpatines Throne room in ROTJ.

 

Best scene = Han swooping in and destroying the TIE fighters while Luke blows up the Death Star. Action packed, great everytime!

 

Any scene involving Palpatine, and Leia's interrogation.

 

This may not qualify as 'best', but for me, the scene where the Falcon is evading the Ties over Bespin is the funniest. At least in a morbid sense.

Lando claims the hyperdrive was repaired, and says 'punch it'. As it fails, Leia and Chewie give Lando a priceless look. It just reads 'We are so disappointed in you'. Then as Lando starts repeating 'They told me they fixed it!', Chewie throws a mini tantrum, pushes Lando out of the way, and runs out of the cockpit.

Cracks me up every time I see it. That is comic relief.

 

The redemption was fantastic. Every time I see this scene... Vader (anakin) picking up Palpatine and tossing him, the music and the moment.. just great.

Though I still have a soft spot for ESB "Apology Accepted Captain Needa"

 

-At the start of TPM, Qui Gonn and Obi Wan charging the Droid Control Room on the ship. Shows how powerful Jedi truly can be. Almost invincible.

-Anakin's confession scene. Nuff said

-At the end of AOTC, the Republic is massing for war. So powerful yet sad.

-Luke looking into the twin sunset. Probably my #1 favorite scene (hell, I even made the icon of it )

-Battle of Hoth. It's just too damn cool

-Vader/Luke fight scene in Bespin.

-The entire Battle of Endor. The ground battle, the space battle, and the battle in the Emperor's throne room.

 

One cool scene was in ROTJ, the part were one of the empire's ships bites it and then nose dives into the death star, and Admiral Ackbar(probably spelled wrong?) sits back into his seat with some hope of winning. One more scene was when Luke enters Jaba's palace as a full fledged Jedi, wearing all black was a nice touch.

 

This may sound weird, but I like the final shot of TPM and the last scene in ROTJ when taken together. Except for Artoo, everyone of note in the TPM shot is DEAD by the end of ROTJ. That TPM scene probably has the best collection of characters ever assembled in a single scene. In ROTJ, we see that the good guys aren't really dead, and that there is the basis for rebuilding the galaxy.

 

Vader telling Luke he is his father.

 

The twin sunset is my favorite of the entire saga.

It proves that at one time George was good enough to be an oscar nominated director.


The first ten minutes of TPM is star wars, and dare I say blows some of the memorable scenes in the classic trilogy away.

I also like the last moments leading up to the death star blowing up in ANH is tense stuff.

AOTC's first shot of the planet, with all the buildings in the clouds.

Lastly, the one shot, though doesn't blow me away all that much anymore, but did then was the first shot of the senate chambers in TPM. I caught myself say damn by the size.

 

Yoda's introduction in ESB.

And the Battle of Yavin. Masterfully constructed.

~Luke's hand on Leia's shoulder and looking outside the window with R2 & 3PO...
~zoom out from the rebel cruiser and see a few of x-wings fly by....
