I'll try and think of someone but i don't know alot of actors names.
Robert Knepper, perhaps best known as Samuel Sullivan from Heroes, is someone that comes to mind for me.
Once again Rob, we seem to be on the same/similar brain wave. I too was going to vote Robert Knepper. His role in Stargate Universe (among others, but that's one of his most recent) really proves how appropriate he is for this role.
Its the Rob-Ducky conspiracy
Ooh, I like that. When I was picturing Hokan, there was a definite face in my mind, an actor I'd seen before in something but just could not place his name or even what it was I'd been watching when I saw him. Knepper isn't quite what I had in mind, but he certainly comes shockingly close.
Unless I get some sort of sudden epiphany in figuring who Mystery-Hokan-Mind-Actor is, put me down for Knepper!
The best translation I have found for the famous Latin phrase, Si vis pacem, para bellum (If you want peace, prepare for war), into Mando'a is, Meh gar copaanir naak, tsikador par akaan. I don't know if the syntax is correct or if there are other words that better capture the spirit of the phrase.
To me Hokan has always had a small amount of misplaced regret to him as a character. He's working for the Nemoidians and while he takes his pay he feels some regret about lowering himself to that level. Same kinda feel with the clones and how he kinda feels for them while still wanting to exterminate them.
Its kinda like a twisted empathy of somekind I get from him not unlike the Samuel character from Heroes.
My latest redecorating
LIKE. So much like.
Its too bad we don't actually have Skirata & Vau figures.
Well oe of those was suppost to be Skirata but dudn't look the part and became Mij.
After discussion with Bardan and Ducky, our Oya Manda Triumverate so to speak, a decision has been made to assign representation for the fan club in the EUC Senate. This will give us an official voice in real world forum affairs. Other than that it will not change how we operate in any way.
With Bardan currently serving as Sinre's #2 in the Senate, I've agreed, with the approval of the other senior club members, to take on the position of Senator for the group. In the future as we hopefully grow(and of course have interest from others in the position) other Oya members would be welcome to serve as well if they so choose.
I am the Mand'alor and I approve this message.
I am... a duck... and I approve this message.
Doesn't quite have the same impact, does it...
But you are not just a duck, you are a duck wearing a buy'ce.
That's really awesome - but no OR Mandos? I thought there was a Mando three-pack with Mandalore the Something or other.
It is not complete, nor will it ever be.
Spoken like a true collector.
I'm very selcetive at this point. I no longer by an Star Wars figures that are not EU inspired. I've done some limited TCW collecting, but am very selective there as well. Boss is the first new TCW figure that I think I have purchased this year.
I do love Embo though.
Nominated thus far to portray Ghez Hokan:
R. Lee Emery
Give a day or two for more and then we will move onto voting.
Just to make sure we're all on the same page, we are casting all our actors as their current, real life, selves. So, for example, if an actor is currently 75 years old in real life (Jack Nicholson, I'm looking at you ) then we aren't casting their 40 year old self but instead their 75 year old, real life, self. Correct?
I have been operating on the assumption that all actors are being cast as they are now. Then again CGI can do wonderful things these days.
Yes. It would hypothetically be who we could get if we were making the movie today.
Well, Gene Hackman's in his 80s, while Jack and R. Lee Ermey are both in their 70s. Don't know about the others, but I'd place Lang in his 40s or 50s.
So I guess that means that the consensus is that Hokan is one old dude.
