I forgot about the coin!
Looks like it is a moot point anyway, at least for now.
Stephen Lang is the winner and our pick to portray Ghez Hokan in our faux Republic Commando film series!
Stay tuned. Our next character the cast is coming up soon!
Well that's too bad. I guess that means I need to find someone else now to nominate for Vau.
Well, I'm not too disappointed things came up in Stephen Lang's favor. Judging him off of his character in Avatar, I'd say he definitely does a hell of a job playing a psychotically violent merc willing to do anything for his own agenda. So basically Ghez in a nutshell.
In the way of news, though, fresh from the Essential Reader's Companion, I bring you the reference book's portrait art of Kal Skirata:
Have we cast Etain yet? I've got a candidate!
We will have to see who Rob decides we are going to cast next.
No prob! Just listing out people in my mind in preparation!
The up to date casting list!
Ed Harris as Kal Skirata
David Wenham as Fenn Shysa
Frances McDormand as Arla Fett
Sam Rockwell as Bardan Jusik
Eliza Dushku as Callista Massana!
Rena Owen as Rav Bralor
Jake Busey as Dred Priest
Chow Yun Fat as Sa Cuis
Daniel Day Lewis as Jaller Obrim
Jeremy Renner as Mij Gilamar
Tilda Swinton as Dr. Uthan
Pauline Newstone as Jinart
Stephen Lang as Ghez Hokan
The casting game continues!
Due to popular demand (and the fact that I had her pencilled in next ) lets cast Etain Tur-Mukan!
Etain was the Jedi Padawan of Master Kast Fullier who was forced to fend for herself following her Master's death on Qiilura. Surviving against difficult odds after her Master's death she eventually fell in with Omega Squad and Kal Skirata. She developed feelings for Darman from Omega Squad and eventually gave birth to his child, Kad, before being killed in an attempt to escape Coruscant during Order 66.
Remember, actors previously cast are not eligible to be cast again and your nomination, should you not be able to return during the voting round, will count as a vote.
Now lets cast Etain Tur- Mukan!
Molly Quinn (the daughter in Castle) gets my nomination!
Right age group for a Padawan, and she seems well able to act!
Thanks for posting the list to date!
Very good casting!
I put forth two options!
and Anna Torv!
It's SW: Underworld. They make these huge rumors (mostly fan service) and never give a source.
But this rumor I hope to be true..!
I really like Amy Adams, but I am going to nominate someone younger. Dakota Fanning.
She wasn't a glamazon in the books, but a little normal.
The source was a site affiliated with a non-Star Wars project Stover was working on. Authorized to do so or not, an associate of Stover's said he would be replacing Traviss for the "501st novels", adding that [we] should congratulate Matt and tell a few friends. It sounds genuine to me, like somebody overenthusiastically slipped up and let the cat out of the bag before Del Rey/LFL was ready to make the public statement. And like Todd said, Star Wars Books is usually very quick to dismiss false rumors and correct misinformation. The general "No Comment" vibe they're giving off, combined with the vague allusions to something good on the RC horizons at Celebration VI, make me think there's more than a little substance to this whole thing.
I like it! As a Castle fan, I've been nothing but impressed with Molly Quinn's ability to portray youthful maturity. She's also in the right age range, and has the right general look to match up with the canon depiction of the character.
You'll never believe it, but I'd not knowingly seen the canon depiction of Etain (downloaded bios of just about everyone else to try to get a handle on survivors and casualties, but not, after Order 66, for Etain). Something of a shock to see how alike - but Ms Quinn doesn't seem to have any freckles as (IIRC) Etain has!
How old is Etain supposed to be? Considering she has a kid, and Darman and the others are roughly physically 22-25, I imagine she's ballpark 23-24 by Order 66. I think Fanning might be a bit too young.
I always pictured Etain as not quite 20 for Hard Contact and Fanning is 18 so they are close enough in age.
Still, despite having seen Fanning in The Runaways, she's still a kid actor in my eyes.
I agree, I have a hard time seeing her in an "adult role", but I still think she could work for this.
How about Shailene Woodley She is 20 yrs old I think she would be perfect for Etain
Many good choices this time around.
Nice choice. She was good in The Descendants.
While I appreciate Bardan's Dakota Fanning suggestion the fact that she is in Twilight just kills it for me
