I'd imagine it's the same as a normal clone trooper. It seems like that is the only thing that seperates Boba from ARCs like Alpha and Spar...

If the NJO books keep continueing, or maybe even the announced ones already, do you think the Mandalorians will affect the New Republic? Do you think they may even attack the Republic at some point just for honor and the thrill of battle, or just stay on a more peaceful side?

WEll according to Star Wars Insider #80, the Mandalorians led by Fett, after having gone back to their mercenary ways, defend the galaxy against the Vong.

The Vong are gone now right? So if they are to follow the warrior ways and traditons of the Mandalorians they'd be looking for a battle for honor and a enemy that can almost match them in someway. I think they can become a huge threat to the galaxy, they would probably start by taking a few planets for rescources and vantage points then go for the Republic.

If they do play a big part later on I can only see them going after the Republic unless a stronger enemy appears and thats only for the fight. I think them fighting the Vong was for personal honor and thrill not really to help the republic and the new jedi. But then again I never read any of the NJO books, the whole Vong thing never interested me.

One question from a guy who has read little EU, mostly Clone War stuff.

Who raided the Mandalorian homeworld(s) and why?
    Thanks.

Thats a negative unfortunately for you MOH. The Mandalorians lead by Boba Fett are mercenary soldiers, BUT the mercs and the protectors form up to push the Vong out of the system.

The Mandalorians no longer go by that Crusader's mentality unfortunately.

Weren't the Mandalorians hunted down in the Mandalorian Wars? I vaguely remeber that Jedi killed some but I was wondering what else there is to the story.

    Thanks

I think your reading the article wrong, Mandalorian.

"Mandalorians lead by Fett returned CONDITIONALLY to their mercenary ways FOR A TIME, BEFORE committing themselves unilaterally to DEFENDING the galaxy from the Yuuzhan Vong invasion."

Meaning they only returned to their mercenary ways under a condition. Then when the Yuuzhan Vong attacked, the Mandalorians gave it up and decided to defend the Galaxy.

This is what is to become of the Mandalorians. They will become the Galaxies defenders. Mandalorians have been the bad guys for way to long. If the Empire were to go bad again most would agree that it would be a dumb idea, because their is really no place to go in story line ideas. No, I think the Mandalorians will remain the good guys. Helping the GFFA against their enemies in future stories.

" the mercs and the protectors form up to push the Vong out of the system. "

Boba Fett didn't start a new Mandalorian merc group, Mandalorian. Boba Fett rejoined the protectors after Fenn's death. He now leads these Mandalorians, and like I said above they were only merc for a while. Even then it was under a condition.

The Mandalorians were never hunted down. It could even be argured that they were actually let go by Revan and his forces. The Mandalorians survived, many becoming mercenaries, other's possibly went back home. Canderous Ordo would later become Mandalore, bringing many clans back together. Other clans though continuied their dishonorable mercenary ways.

I keep finding that same exact history on several sites, this one is a new one with me and is the same history. Seems like everyone just did a copy and paste from one site to another and it just snowballed.

Sorry for not replying in a while, i didnt think people were itnerested anymore.

I love the article! Its one of my favorite SW reads all in all; and, as i believe that every piece of Star Wars merchandise is a journey into the Star Wars experience, i think the article is a great addition to the Star Wars experience.

Have you all gotten your hands on the Mandalorian MP3s that SWCOMMANDO.com had out for download?

I swear i listen to those things at least once a day.
