You should attempt to not use the term "regular people" when referring to people who share your viewpoint, or people you understand. If OZK feels that he was mutilated, then that's for him to deal with. You don't have to understand it or agree with it. But to imply that he is somehow irregular is lame. I think he's going a bit overboard, yes, but I don't view him as less than regular. His penis stretching doesn't affect my life in any way. If he wants to talk about it openly, then he should be free to do so. There's no reason for him to feel he should hide or feel that he's some sort of freak.

But, he IS irregular... he is missing part of his wee-wee. :(

He would tell you so, himself. That's sorta the point of this thread.

At least his thread has a point...

I am not circumcised. I don't know if this has come up in this thread yet.

One time a girl at work was talking about a baby being circumcised and she said, quite stupidly, that she wondered what an uncircumcised penis would look like. I offered to show her mine. A look of horror crossed her face. This is almost entirely a true story.

Never mind the fact that OZK says he supports circumcision for medical reasons, never mind he says he would have no problem referring a man to a specialist if they elected to have a circumcision for aesthetic reasons, he simply must be thrown into the same 'anti-circ' boat as the most desperately ludicrous examples you can think of.

Just because OZK may (or may not) have said foolish things in other debates does not detract from the sensible, rational and convincing arguments he's made in this one. Everyone arrives at their opinion from the starting point of ignorance. We all say some daft things from time to time. Some of us manage it from post to post.

I wish you had honestly ignored the 'stupid' comment, as you've now made it slightly worse. Equating thumbs with penises was bad enough, now you're arguing that all traumas are equal!

The thumb doesn't have a foreskin, nor anything remotely like one. Losing a sliver of elbow skin wouldn't have the same effect as losing the equivalent area of one's genitals. There's function and then there's emotional attachment, then there's one's very identity.

All traumas being equal, do you support all forms of Infant Genital Mutilation?

Let's try a rather nasty thought experiment: Let's say it's 1994 and you're a captive in the Rwandan genocide. You're being tortured with a rusty cut throat razor. You must choose 5 of your extremities to be mutilated and in what order. Would you choose to amputate parts of your face, genitals and erogenous zones first?

I leave it to OZK or some other medical expert to lecture on the density of nerve endings and tactile sensitivity of different points on the anatomy, my point is that people tend to emotionally identify with certain parts of the body more than others. Your face and reproductive/erogenous areas are so linked to personality, behaviour and identity that it's quite, quite wrong to equate them with elbow skin or thumbnails (assuming you're one of the regular people for whom those aren't erogenous zones).

Regarding your scale for sexual fulfilment, we all have to make do with what we've got (or make do and mend). The evidence for tactile sensitivity speaks for itself. Your logic is false, by the way. Variation in data does not preclude empiricism, but that's quite pedantic of me to say. ;)

If your identity hinges of what your danglies look like, then you probably need to do a bit of soul searching.

Oh you mean FGM, right? Which from what Ive read is done just before puberty and without any anesthesia, so the girls are completely aware of what's happening.

Which is not the case when it comes to postnatal circumcision.

In that scenario, probably yes to the genitals, no to the face. Like I said, my identity does not rest with whats in my pants.

If you think your identity is entirely removed from your genitals, you have some serious studying to do.

No, I meant the mutilation of infant's genitals, hence the term Infant Genital Mutilation.
You must have misunderstood. You don't have to cut your genitals or your face or your erogenous zones, you can choose anything.

Unless I'm misunderstanding and you'd actually prefer to have your genitals mutilated with a rusty razor, rather than mutilating an elbow or shin.

I think you're dishonestly underestimating the importance of your sexual identity in an attempt to win an argument in a thread about someone's missing foreskin on a Star Wars forum, by the way.

FC/FGM is practiced by different groups at all kinds of different ages (some groups do it when the girl is an infant, some only do it prior to the woman's first childbirth, and everywhere in between) with and without anaesthesia. Don't make generalizations like that when you clearly have no idea what you're talking about.

There were about five of us who worked the night shift. Very familial atmosphere. That is far from the most "offensive" thing that ever happened on that job. That job was a blast.

Most MGM done worldwide is done by Muslims, and it's done in commonly done in mid-childhood. In common African tribal custom, it varies from early childhood to late adolescence. Neonatal circumcision is generally restricted to Jews and English speakers.

And every culture that performs FGM performs some sort of MGM.

If you care to review the thread, I linked to a blog which had the full text of a journal article from a low impact journal which Quix rightfully impugned. Other than that, I linked to a website run by physicians who oppose circumcision. Any other citations I made in the thread as an appeal to actual evidence were from relatively high impact, peer-reviewed scientific journals, as I have in this thread. I know you are not lying, but what you are saying is factually incorrect, and a reading of my posts in the thread will reveal otherwise.

    http://boards.theforce.net/xentemp/index.php?threads/should-routine-infant-circumcision-be-legal.3231/page-20#post-259620O

Insinuating that those of us who oppose MGM are anti-semitic is ridiculous. I presume you are against FGM. Do you hate Egyptians, Ethiopians, Eritreans, Sudanese?

As much as I've tried to ignore this thread, it refuses to die. But I can't have you spreading factually incorrect things about me, such as saying that the scientific evidence I have presented to support my position is manufactured by opponents of circumcision. I also find it pretty offensive that you've tried to link intactivism to anti-semitism. I think that at the least, you owe us some sort of evidence linking some specific intactivists with anti-semitic beliefs or behavior.

    Fine.

I'm still at about a CI-3/4. I haven't really had the focus or time to do a lot of manual stretching. I still haven't decided what restoration device I'm going to use.

I will report more when I have more to report. Also, I highly, highly recommend foreskin restoration for fellow victims of genital mutilation. Swimming is 100x more pleasant now.

I feel the need to ask...are you talking about Skinny Dipping?

Because I've been swimming normally(with swimsuit) for exercise (and fun) since I was 4 and not once has it ever been not pleasant. But skinny dipping is ocassionally a little cold.

    Edit: I suck at spelling.

Not being able to watch the video, did they give a specific cause? (Infection, unsanitary conditions, non-professionals, etc?)

Went swimming Saturday. Little guy shrank right up into his turtleneck. After getting out of the pool, my glans was like 90% covered for around 20 minutes after.

    It was awesome.

This is significant progress. I've never retained this long or completely before. It waa almost like being intact.

For a guy that steadfastly refuses to use his tool for anything besides peeing, you sure are obsessed with it. You know that don't you?
