EXCELLENT CG my friends. Each time you guys bring something like this, I have to up my effort on my own fanfilm. STOP IT! ha ha. JK.

 

That was very good The motion capture was awesome, the abiance was strong. There is nothing that attracts me more than good design, and this has it.

 

When I saw that Mathias Lindgren was involved in this, I expected it to be good. I was not dissapointed . Not only is the CG mightily impressive, but the mood is brilliant and the shots look as though a lot of thought has gone into them. Can't wait for the final film.

 

Cunard: no motion capture was used, all is hand animated...

Excellent animation, the motion you have is very well done (I'm a traditional animator by day, myself, and not easy to impress)... If the rest of your work looks this good, I'm going to be keeping an eye out for certain!

 

it was good.... but i was dissapointed with the quantity/quality of the trailer itself. from the trailer it seems that the film to far off to warrant a trailer... I can see that the final product will be excellent, but i think they should have waited for better footage to release a trailer. it doesn't grab the audience.

 

Pixelito: yes, you are right. the film is actually to far off to warrent a trailer, but we really thought we had something new, fresh going on, we really wanted to share what we were up to... also, it meant we could get some feedback on the look of the film, which has been overall positive so far...

Actually, I though once about making full cg star wars film, but I thought it was crazy. who is the craziest? maybe you are, whaen I look what kind of pc you're using...not a race car.

dr. jones: hehe, never really concidered myself a member of the scifi3d staff, tho it seams someone did... I'm listed as a crew member of the Son of the Suns, and I haven't done anything on that

I saw a preview for this all digital Fanfilm, Star Wars Padawan.
I would like to know if it has an offical site i can visit. i love the teaser, so you can imagine how much i'd like the whole movie. When will it be complete any ideas, can you atleast tell me what timeperiod the film takes place in?


P.S. I noticed the in the poster fot this movie that the padawan's braid was on his right side? I thought it was traditional for the braid to be on his left? Any reason for this?

 

No, braids go on the right.

Is this trailer up on one of the backup servers? I seem to have missed it when it debuted.

Blizzard has a great cg/animaiton dept i've watched all the vids on the dvd for war3 over and over

all thier stuff is good.. they should make a movie

My only complaint is that the padawan looks a bit old. But overall, it is still believable.

If someone can get it to me somehow, I can post it on my site as an Official TFN Emergency Backup Server. This thread seems to have renewed interest, so I think we'd all like to see it online. Well, downloadable, anyway.

I don't know if my email will support files that large.. if someone could put it up temporarily, just long enough for me to download it? I know a lot of us use free websites that don't have the bandwidth.. it'd just be easier for me to download it from somewhere, then upload it to my site.
