Saga Padme and Ani's Tale-Ami/Obi/Ani-Ep II and III: slight AU

Hum, here's another one I'm working on.


Chapter 1: Rejection
Padme stared at Anakin; she could feel the pulsating anger in the young Jedi and knew that he was beyond reasoning. ?I?m sorry Anakin, I just can?t,? she said wishing there was some way to ease his pain. She laid a hand on his arm and he flinched pulling away. Padme winced closing her eyes trying to regain her composure. ?Good bye,? she whispered fleeing the room.
Obi Wan Kenobi paused after rounding the corner, Senator Amidala stood in the hallway. Her face was buried in her hands and it was clear she was crying. He realized that she had just come from Anakin?s room and wondered what was wrong. ?Senator?? he asked walking towards her. Padme raised her head quickly blotting the tearstains on her face, ?Obi Wan,? she said offering him a sincere smile. ?I?m so glad to see you, I?m leaving this afternoon and I wanted to thank you for the special treatment I was given.? Her smile resembled the one she wore for official occasions. It was wide, genuine and masked her true emotions perfectly. ?It was the least I could do after your courageous attempt to rescue me.? Obi Wan said sincerely. ?We failed I know, but hopefully things will move quickly now that we?ve discovered what Count Dooku is planning.? She said sounding very firm and determined. Obi Wan nodded, ?The Jedi will be assisting the Republic,? he assured her. She smiled, ?I must be on my way, I?ll see you soon I?m sure Obi Wan,? he nodded and bowed. She turned and walked away. Padme was glad to turn away from the Knight, her tears overflowed her eyes again as she hurried down the hallway.
Obi Wan entered and immediately was overwhelmed by the feelings of hate and frustration coming from Anakin. He tensed realizing there had been a heated conflict between Anakin and Padme. ?Anakin,? he spoke questioningly. He stared as Anakin turned; the boy?s eyes were full of anger and pain. ?She said she won?t allow herself to love me; that I can?t mean anything to her. She told me she would not give in to me no matter how she feels and that I have to let her go,? his voice almost broke. Obi Wan felt a feeling of relief and sadness wash over him. ?Maybe it?s for the best,? he said soothingly. ?HOW?? Anakin shouted angrily. ?She loves me, and I love her; we?re meant to be together,? ?Anakin, you know the Council would never approve and she?s a politician. She is protecting both your futures by giving you up. You should be grateful.? Anakin turned away, ?I?d like to be alone for a while,? he whispered. Obi Wan sighed, ?Alright, you know where you can find me.? Just before he left, he paused hearing Anakin start to cry.

Chapter 2: Forgiveness

Padme stood waiting to speak with Mace Windu when Obi Wan walked up. ?Master Jedi?? she asked questioningly realizing he was seeking her out. ?May I speak with you milady?? She nodded following him to an empty room. ?Thank you,? he said looking into her eyes. ?For what?? Padme asked confused. ?For letting him go,? Obi Wan said gently, ?I know how much you care about him, but you saved him today milady and as his master, I thank you.? He wasn?t prepared for the overwhelming sadness and pain that came radiating off the Senator. She whirled around facing away from him and he could feel how utterly devastated she was. ?Your welcome Obi Wan, it was the hardest thing I?ve ever had to do, I?ll never love another,? She turned to him again, ?No matter what happens, he?ll always be my knight, always.? He felt a sudden wave of weakness and defeat coming from her, and then she pulled herself together, ?I must speak with Master Windu and be on my way. Please tell Anakin I?ll never forget him and no matter what happens, he?ll always have my heart.? She smiled and hurried towards the door. Obi Wan stared after her departing back and realized he had to find Anakin.

?She said you?ll always have her heart,? Obi Wan stared at frustration wondering what else he could say that would satisfy his Padawan. ?I do want her heart, but I also want?? Anakin?s voice trailed off. Obi Wan frowned and then his eyes widened with realization, ?Anakin, how much do you know about that topic,? ?Enough,? he turned to Obi Wan, ?She?s intoxicating, her beauty overwhelms me and I want her to be mine, all of her, only mine.? Obi Wan couldn?t believe he, a respected Jedi, was having this conversation with anyone much less his Jedi Padawan. ?Anakin, you know that will never happen.? Anakin nodded, ?She is in my very soul master, I love her more than anyone.? Obi Wan tried not to gasp, he knew Anakin was serious and it was commonly known that the one closest to a Jedi should be his Master or former master and the other members of the order. For a woman to be the one he loved most, that meant Obi Wan had failed. Anakin frowned sensing Obi Wan?s pain. ?Master?? he asked questioningly. Obi Wan tried desperately to hide his feelings, he was a Jedi Master, and he had to act like one. ?Well, things will go with the will of the Force,? he said finally as he turned to leave.

Anakin frowned thinking back on his last words suddenly feeling terribly guilty. I must have hurt his feelings deeply he realized with a sigh. He knew deep down he loved Obi Wan as much as he loved Padme. He went in search of Obi Wan. He found the older man sitting in the vast sunroom in the Jedi Temple meditating. ?Master?? he said softly through the Force not wanting to startle his master. Obi Wan tensed sensing Anakin?s presence, he could feel his young apprentice?s guilt and uncertainty and although he was compelled to reassure him Anakin?s betrayal made it difficult. ?Yes Anakin?? he said finally. ?I?m sorry Master,? he said. He didn?t feel anything coming from Obi Wan except pain. ?I didn?t mean to hurt you, it?s just that I?ve never felt this kind of love before. The kind I feel for you and the Jedi Order is different than the kind I feel for Padme,? Anakin explained. ?I?m not angry at you Ani,? Obi Wan said tiredly. Although he sounded irritated and disappointed, Anakin took heart that he had used the hated nickname. Obi Wan took a deep breath and then stood up turning to face his Padawan. He frowned when he saw Anakin?s face. It was covered in fear and uncertainty. ?Anakin?? he asked moving towards the young man. ?Are you sure you?re not mad?? Anakin asked his trembling voice betraying his outer calm. Obi Wan nodded slowly, ?Yes, I?m sure.?
He felt Anakin relax although he still felt a disturbance in the Force. He had never been particularly open and demonstrative with Anakin, but suddenly he opened his arms to the boy. Anakin stared; he couldn?t believe what he saw. He rushed in

Chapter 3: Acceptance
Padme stood in her room. She was glad Obi Wan had come to see her; it had given her extra courage to leave knowing she was protecting Anakin. She hoped Obi Wan would pass her final message on to Ani, but she couldn?t be sure. Just then a message popped up, ?Senator, there is a chance your life is in danger, you must go to the private lakeside palace on Naboo and wait for further instructions.? She stared at the hologram of Mace Windu before it disappeared. ?Pack my bags Artoo, we?re leaving,? she said quickly hurrying downstairs to inform her handmaidens of their departure.

Obi Wan stood outside of the doors to the Jedi Council?s room. He had just been informed that he would be traveling to Naboo to escort Padme to her lakeside palace. Anakin was not given leave from his assignment to go. ?What?? Anakin exploded. Obi Wan cringed, he knew breaking this news to Ani would not be pleasant. ?I?m sorry Padawan, but you have got to see this through, I?ll give any message, letter, gift anything to her.? He said trying to cheer him up. ?I want to give her a kiss,? Anakin whispered. Obi Wan sighed, ?do you really want me to give her a kiss for you?? ?On the cheek,? Anakin said looking up. ?Give her this too,? he said handing Obi Wan a letter. Obi Wan nodded, ?I?ll be back tomorrow Padawan, stay safe and May the Force be with you.? Anakin sighed as his master left.

Padme paused checking her outfit in the mirror, she wondered how she would get there, she knew she?d have to travel, and wasn?t that not safe? ?Master Kenobi is here,? Sabe said from the doorway. Padme whirled around, ?And Anakin?? she asked hopefully. Sabe frowned, ?No milady,? she said shaking her head. ?I?ll be down,? Padme said turning away. She walked down the stairs and saw Obi Wan standing there. Obi Wan frowned looking up at Padme. She had clearly lost some weight and she looked tired. He bowed, ?Milady,? he said quietly. She smiled at him and came forward to shake his hand. He leaned forward to kiss her on the cheek noting her beautiful smelling perfume. ?That?s from Anakin,? he said quietly. She nodded coolly, ?Shall we go?? she asked. ?After you milady,? he said picking up her traveling bag. She swept out of the palace with him following close behind.

They boarded the transport. Obi Wan frowned as Padme took a deep shuddering breath. ?Please excuse me for a moment Master Jedi,? Padme said getting up out of her seat. She felt tired and sick. Obi Wan stood up to let her by; she caught the worried glance at her and tried to ignore it. She made her way to the restroom and tried to get herself under control. Someone else walked in, but she was too dizzy to focus on them.
Suddenly she felt a knife by her throat and she let out a scream she knew Obi Wan wouldn?t be able to hear. Unknown to her she also sent out a wave of terror into the Force. Obi Wan leapt up out of his seat and rushed into the ladies room with his light saber lit. Padme was thrown to the floor unconscious as he dashed in. He quickly sliced the head off the unprepared killer with his light saber. He knelt next to the senator. She was sheet white; he gently stroked her face with a cool cloth and she opened her eyes. ?Obi Wan,? she gasped tears welling up. He wrapped his arms around her as she started to tremble. ?It?s alright, I?ve got you.? He murmured softly.
When she had calmed down, he picked her up and carried her back to their seats. ?Are you feeling better?? he asked a little while later. She nodded her face still pale. ?I feel like I was run over by a truck,? she said weakly. ?You didn?t look well before this either,? Obi Wan finally said quietly. ?It?s just the strain of having to do what I do best,? she said smiling. ?Is that all?? he asked holding her chin so she was forced to look into his eyes. ?I miss Ani,? she said attempting a smile. ?I miss him so much; at night I ache for him until sometimes I think I just can?t bear it anymore.? Obi Wan felt a tad embarrassed. ?I?m sorry this is so hard

This is a good twist. Obiwan knowing about the relationship. Obiwan wanting to help them. This is great.

I hope Obiwan will be able to get Anakin to her in time.

I can see many ways for this story to go so I 'm looking forward to seeing which way you go.

 

Chapter (4?)lost track: Uniting
This will be rated PG13/R for possible down the road sexual content.

Obi Wan frowned at Anakin as the teenage boy almost jumped out of the open transport, ?Patience my young Padawan, wait until it stops,? Obi Wan said trying to control the irritation in his voice. Anakin wasn?t listening; he had thanked his master endlessly for this chance to see Padme. Ever since she had left he had sensed she was unwell; Obi Wan?s story upon his return had almost convinced Anakin to leave the Jedi Order so great was his desire to get to his beloved. Obi Wan watched Anakin leap from the transport and race up the steps. ?Ani!? Padme exclaimed in disbelief looking down from her balcony. She couldn?t believe what she saw. Obi Wan had seen her come out onto the balcony, with his Force increased hearing ability he heard her soft exclamation. So did Anakin; he looked up and then using the Force vaulted up on her balcony. Obi Wan frowned with intense disapproval and watched as his Padawan opened his arms and crushed the senator in a hug. He saw their lips fuse together and sighed as he walked up the steps.

Padme stared at Anakin who had just leapt up onto the balcony, ?I can?t believe you?re here, and so soon,? she said weakly. ?Obi Wan persuaded the Council to give us a few days before Obi Wan and I leave on our next mission.? Anakin whispered. ?Bless him,? Padme whispered moving forward into his arms. He crushed her to him, ?God I love you,? his voice and words caressed her ear. He pulled away and found her lips; Padme almost died as his lips began to make love to hers.

Anakin moved his metal hand and his real hand up and down her back devouring her. He felt her breasts pressed against him and felt her weakness in the Force. He kissed her more passionately trying to give her more strength. He noticed dimly through his passion how thin she was; he could feel every rib and vertebra in her back through her dress.

He pulled away, ?You?re so thin,? he said searching her eyes. Padme looked down, ?I?m alright Ani,? she said trying to reassure him. ?No, you?re not, why haven?t you seen a doctor.? He said angrily. Padme sighed, ?Because he?ll just tell me that I?m overstressed and that I need to rest. I can?t afford to rest, I don?t have time.? Anakin frowned, ?You should, you look really tired.? Padme just smiled, ?I feel better already now that you?re here.?
Anakin looked into the eyes of the woman he couldn?t bear to lose again, ?Padme, will you marry me?? Padme gasped looking stunned, ?Anakin, are you serious?? ?Yes I am,? he replied, ?Padme, will you be my wife?? ?Yes, oh yes,? Padme cried feeling her whole heart swell with happiness.

When Obi Wan saw them coming down the stairs together he knew immediately that something had changed. ?Obi Wan, we?ve decided to get married,? Anakin?s face was radiating happiness, and so was Padme?s. Obi Wan noted briefly how peaceful her face was before he began to argue his Padawan. ?Anakin, the Jedi Council will never allow this. We need your skills more than ever in the war.? His face showed his pain and anger. Padme stared at Obi Wan feeling fearful, the Jedi feared a long war, she could tell that much from his face. They hadn?t told her that, they told her that they were still looking for Dukoo and when they found him everything would be over. Obi Wan realized from the look on the senator?s face that she had not been informed of the upcoming war. ?Obi Wan, I?ll still fight and go on missions, but I know Padme and I belong together, please give us your blessing,? Anakin pleaded, ?Your blessing is the only thing I need now to make this feel totally right.? Obi Wan stared into his face, ?I can?t give it to you Anakin, not now, I?ll be leaving, and I expect you back at the Temple in three days time.? He turned and brushed out the door.

Padme put her arms around Anakin to comfort him. She knew how deeply his love for Obi Wan ran and how much he wanted his approval. She let go and rushed out after Obi Wan. ?Obi Wan,

 

This was very good. I love the way Obiwan told Anakin that he loved him still even if he did not agree with him.

Becareful regarding sexual content they frown on that in the boards, You may need to check on the rules as to how far you can go.

Chapter 5: After the Wedding
Three days later the newly married senator stood waving good-bye to Anakin as he drove away. ?I?ll always love you Padme, remember that,? Padme had held him close then released him, ?Good-bye my love,? she had said. Now he was gone.

Obi Wan saw Anakin get off the 12 o clock shuttle. ?Anakin,? he greeted his Padawan. Anakin looked relaxed and happy despite the fact he?d had to leave his new wife. ?How was the wedding?? Obi Wan finally asked. ?Small, perfect?. except you weren?t there,? Anakin replied. ?I?m sorry Padawan, but it goes so strongly against my beliefs and the Force itself, I just couldn?t go.? His eyes begged for forgiveness. ?I don?t hold it against you Master,? he said smiling. Obi Wan put his hand on the young man?s shoulders. ?The Council feels that if you prove yourself a loyal strong fighter in this war that immediately following it they hope you?ll take the trials.? Obi Wan said. Anakin looked surprised, ?Why not before,? he asked. ?Yoda felt it would be best for you to be a Padawan, but we?ll be separated sometimes and they?ll treat you like a Knight. Now is not the time to give you the test Anakin, there?s so much to do.? Anakin nodded understandingly, ?Yes master.?

They were headed off to meet with the council when Anakin staggered. ?Anakin?? Obi Wan asked worriedly bending over his Padawan. ?Padme, she?? Anakin choked for air. The feeling of fear and helplessness consumed him. Obi Wan frowned knowing Padme and Anakin had a special bond; but why hadn?t he felt anything at all? He reached further into the Force and felt the same fear and confusion that was consuming Anakin. Knowing that it would be addressed by the Council he knelt and pulled Anakin up, ?come, the Council will know what?s happening,? he said reassuringly pulling his apprentice down the hall. Just then Anakin moaned out loud, ?Padme.?

Padme was afraid. She had been sitting reading giving her body some time to rest and she was waiting for a visit from the doctor. Suddenly she heard gunfire and the next thing she knew someone was holding her and tying up her hands. Padme tried to scream but she was gagged. Remembering how Obi Wan had felt her fear in the Force she tried desperately to send some of her terror into the Force. She instantly felt Anakin respond, although he was the only one; it was then she remembered that unless it was a huge disturbance in the Force most Jedi far away didn?t feel smaller things. Anakin however had a special bond with her and would feel anything bad coming from her. She prayed he would come for her.

?Captured a few minutes ago Senator Amidala was,? Yoda said. Anakin shook his head in silent disbelief. Obi Wan cast a worried look at his Padawan, but Anakin pulled himself together. Obi Wan had told him the entire council knew and disapproved of his marriage, so he didn?t want them to see how upset he was. ?Do we know why they took her or where she is?? he asked urgently. Mace Windu looked at the young Jedi with surprise and concern. It had occurred to him that Padme would have told her new husband about her latest endeavor. ?She?s the leader of a group of leaders from peaceful planets who are keeping close tabs on the senate and the Republic.? He said finally. Anakin looked shocked and then hurt. ?Why didn?t she tell me?? he asked softly. ?Told to tell no one she was,? Yoda said wisely. Anakin bowed his head feeling ashamed and still angry. ?Took her sith did,? Yoda added. Anakin?s head shot up and his face radiated anger. ?How will we get her back?? he asked frantically. ?We will Padawan,? Obi Wan said firmly then he turned to Master Windu, ?Master, you asked us to come here for something else I believe,? he said. Mace nodded, ?We?re expecting a visit from Chancellor Palpatine tomorrow and I had wanted to make sure you and your Padawan would be here; he requested him specifically.?
?We will be,? Obi Wan said respectfull

 

Oh no Padme been captured. Oh no someone is trying to get her to be unfaithful to Anakin. I wonder if she will or not. I wonder who the person is.

I'm glad dispite his beliefs obiwan is helping Anakin and not giving him grief.


I am on pins and needles to see what happens next.

 

Chapter 6: Confessions

Palpatine smiled to himself, the senator had slept with his apprentice, everything was going according to plan. He knew that young Skywalker would find out and even if his love for the senator was deep he would still be affected. The Supreme Chancellor wasn't in a position to revel himself yet, however he was manipulating things carefully. He had to break up Padme and Anakin and then his army would move in against the Republic while he manipulated both sides.

Anakin and Obi Wan had arrived an hour early to check things out. At 11, a transport pulled up, ?It?s exactly 11,? Obi Wan said. Anakin squinted, ?It?s her,? he raced forward.
Padme stepped off the shuttle and spotted a running figure. Her heart rejoiced as she realized it was Anakin. She fell into his arms weeping. Anakin had never felt so relieved, he held to her and whispered over and over, ?Thank god you?re alright,?
Obi Wan watched Anakin throw his arms around his wife. He frowned with concern as he sensed Padme?s overwhelming weakness. He knew Anakin was so happy to see her he probably couldn?t sense it. ?Milady it is such a relief to have you safe,? he said coming forward and embracing Padme. ?Thank you Master Kenobi,? Padme said. He noticed some sadness in her eyes that hadn?t been there before. They brought her to Corosant and admitted her to a hospital.

After she was carefully attended to, she convinced Anakin to go sleep. ?Obi Wan will be here soon, you?re more help to me rested,? her eyes smiled reassuringly at him. He nodded, ?Call me if you need anything Padme,? he said his eyes shining with love for her. She nodded and he left. Obi Wan passed him leaving, ?She told me to sleep,? he said with a smile. Obi Wan nodded, ?she?s right, I?ll stay with her.? Anakin smiled, ?Thank you,?
Obi Wan continued towards her room and as he entered he felt a wave of misery come off the senator. Padme pulled herself together as Obi Wan entered the room. ?What?s wrong?? he asked concerned. She shook her head, ?Nothing I want to talk about,? she said. ?Are you sure,? he asked. Padme just stared blankly into space. ?Milady?? he questioned trying to encourage her. ?I don?t trust you,? she said bluntly. He stared at her shocked, ?Why?? ?Because you?re Anakin?s master,? ?I won?t tell him milady,? he said reassuringly. She took a deep breath, ?alright. Did you wonder how I got back so quickly?? he nodded. ?This man I knew a long time ago made a deal with me. He would let me go, the torture would stop and I wouldn?t have to give any information.? Obi Wan raised his eyebrows, ?You didn?t tell them anything?? She shook her head, ?I didn?t have too, they let me go,? ?Why?? He asked. Padme looked down, ?he told me I?d have to sleep with him,? she whispered. Obi Wan tensed, ?You did?? ?It was the only way to save the secret group,? she said finally. Obi Wan realized why she didn?t want Anakin to know. ?I see your hesitation in telling Anakin,? he said. ?He?d be angry even though I did it for a good reason,? She looked up, ?But what if I?m pregnant?? she asked. He gaped at her, ?do you think you are?? ?I hope not,? she said softly.

Three weeks later Obi Wan returned to Naboo for a short break from the battle. War had started two days after the senator had been released and the galaxy was in turmoil. Padme greeted him with a hug, ?Master Kenobi, are you alright?? she asked. Obi Wan nodded, ?Just taking a break milady, I?ve been fighting for over two weeks with hardly any rest.? She smiled, ?Come in, we?ll give you the royal treatment,? ?You look as if you could use some of that yourself milady,? he said. ?Call me Padme, I?m almost family,? she said shortly. He frowned at the change in her voice, ?alright mila?Padme, please call me Obi Wan.? Padme felt bad, ?I?m sorry Obi Wan, I didn?t mean to be short with you,? she led the way up the stairs. ?I sense you?re distressed Padme,? he said feeling uncomfortable calling her by her informal name.

Padme hesitated and then continued walking. ?D

 

Chapter 7: A Painful Choice
An hour later her doctor was standing in front of her gasping. ?You shouldn?t do this milady, I?m sure your husband was just in shock. He wouldn?t want you to do this.? Padme shook her head remembering the look in his eyes; there had been no love there for her and he hadn?t tried to contact her before he left and she had lost her faith he loved her. ?I have to, tomorrow at noon if he hasn?t contacted me by then, be prepared to perform the operation,? Padme looked at him her eyes steeled with determination. The doctor nodded sadly and then left.

The next day at noon Padme lay in her bed asleep from the medication given to her. The doctor had removed the baby and stitched her back up. He shook his head and turned to Sabe, ?She?ll wake up in the next hour or so,? he said. ?It?s a shame things had to end this way, most likely she?ll never be able to have another child.? He turned and left. Padme woke up feeling sick, ?Sabe?? she asked weakly. ?I?m here milady, what?s wrong?? Sabe asked putting a cool cloth on her head. ?Where?s Anakin?? Padme asked feeling a shot of pain consume her. ?I don?t know milady, sleep now,? Sabe said gently administering the sleeping medication. Padme drifted off tears streaking her cheeks.

Anakin and Obi Wan along with seven other Jedi and about a hundred storm troopers stormed one of Dukoo?s secret hideouts. Within an hour they?d rescued seven Jedi who were there along with Master Windu and still come no closer to finding Dukoo.
They were in the transport heading for the Jedi Temple when Anakin doubled forward feeling a wave of pain coming through the bond with Padme. ?What?s wrong Padawan?? asked Obi Wan. ?Its Padme,? Anakin said, ?She?s in pain, terrible pain.? ?Drop us off at Naboo,? Obi Wan ordered.

The two Jedi jumped off the transport and raced into the hideaway palace. Sabe met them at the foot of the stairs, ?Master Anakin,? she said looking surprised. ?My wife?? Anakin asked trying to catch his breath. He watched in horror as Sabe?s face paled, ?She?s in her room,? Sabe said finally. Anakin bolted up the stairs Obi Wan on his heels. ?Padme,? he cried out seeing his wife?s ever thinning form curled up in the bed. Padme?s eyes met his, ?Ani,? she whispered.

?What happened, are you alight?? Anakin asked trying to keep his panic at bay but failing miserably. ?Is the baby alright?? he said hope flickering in his eyes. Padme felt her breath catch, the doctor had been right. She suddenly wished she were dead, there was no way she could admit she got rid of the baby now. ?I?I lost the baby,? Padme finally whispered. These words started a long road of self-denial that would never truly end. Tears welled up in Anakin?s eyes. ?Oh Padme,? he bent over her and wrapped his arms around her; together they cried for the loss of their baby.

Obi Wan felt a stab of horror, but it was quickly followed by suspicion. Padme was lying to Anakin; he didn?t know why. He was however sure she hadn?t lost the baby. He quietly left and went downstairs. ?Sabe?? he called. ?Yes Master Kenobi?? Sabe asked appearing from the kitchen. ?She decided to get rid of the baby didn?t she?? he asked. Sabe stared at him in shock and then nodded. ?How do you know?? she asked confused. ?I can sense it,? he said. ?Then why hasn?t Master Skywalker?? she asked. ?He?s grieving right now,? he said finally, ?he?ll sense it at some point.? Sabe frowned, ?you mean he?s actually upset?? she asked. ?OF course, it was his child,? Obi Wan said. Then he frowned and stepped over to her, ?Why are you so surprised Sabe?? ?Her ladyship said Anakin didn?t want the child; that?s why she got rid of it.? Sabe said quietly. ?That couldn?t be,? Obi Wan said thinking of the look on Anakin?s face and his reaction to the news. ?Why?? Sabe asked, looking confused. ?Because he is devastated by the news,? Obi Wan said. ?Her ladyship was wrong then.? Sabe whispered. ?Wrong about what?? Obi Wan asked looking up raw emotion clearly visible in his eyes. ?She thought

 

So she was unfaithful to save her group. You wrote I thought a good post on how a couple might react to this type of event happening in their lives. Good Job.

Chapter 8: Losing You
Over the next three years, Anakin and Obi Wan were almost never on Naboo. Padme was working all the time trying to help the war along on the diplomatic side of things and rarely saw Anakin. It was one early fall day on Naboo when Padme returned for the first time in over a month. She walked up the stairs and collapsed on her bed exhausted. ?Milady?? Sache questioned. ?I?m alright, just tired.? Padme responded closing her eyes. Sache left her to sleep.

?We?re excused?? Anakin stared in disbelief. ?Yes my Padawan,? Obi Wan replied. ?Can we go to Naboo?? he asked. Obi Wan nodded with a smile and followed his Padawan out to the transport. They arrived at the capital and took a private shuttle to Padme?s hideaway palace. Padme was lying on her bed sleeping when a voice pierced her dreams, ?I can?t believe we?re finally here,? She sat straight up, ?Anakin,? she called off her balcony. ?Padme,? he exclaimed racing up the stairs and out of sight. Minutes later he stood in her doorway. Padme rushed over to him, this was only the fifth time she?d seen him in the last three years and for the first time since she lost her baby she felt somewhat happy, ?Oh Ani,? she whispered against his shoulder.


Anakin felt his wife?s back and gently caressed her ribs. She had never regained her strength after the ?loss? of the baby three years ago. ?You?re still so thin,? he murmured softly. His lips met hers giving her strength for the first time in months. Anakin was deeply disturbed by Padme?s poor state of health, but he tried to hide it from her. ?Shall we eat?? Padme asked with a smile. Anakin nodded eagerly. They met Obi Wan at the foot of the stairs, ?It?s a pleasure to you Amidala,? Obi Wan said embracing her. Anakin smiled at Obi Wan.

Padme pulled away and studied the Jedi for a moment. He seemed very troubled and depressed. She quickly turned away not wanting to deal with any more problems for at least an hour. They ate talking about the war and progress and decline. After dinner they went up to the balcony. They sat down and sat in peaceful company until a hologram arrived for Anakin in his study. He quickly got up and left.

?What?s wrong Obi Wan?? Padme asked as soon as she was sure Anakin was out of earshot. ?He?s falling towards the dark side,? Obi Wan said dully. ?WHAT?? Padme almost choked on her breath. ?He?s doing things I am not allowed to know about, and he?s drifting away from me,? Obi Wan replied. ?Surely, you must be mistaken,?
?I?m not Padme,? Obi Wan walked to edge of the balcony; he knew he wasn?t wrong. Padme was silent, finally swallowing her emotions she walked over to him. ?I?m sorry Obi Wan, I didn?t mean to imply anything,? she apologized.
His heart almost broke for her, to love someone who could betray you was frightening; that much he knew. ?I should have been more sensitive just then Padme,? he concluded. ?It?s all right, I understand how much Anakin means to you?and,? she hesitated. He turned, ?And?? ?And the rest of the galaxy, he?s the Choose One,? she said finally. ?How?d you know that?? he gasped. ?Anakin told me just that much, once he did it wasn?t hard to find out more,? she said sadly. He nodded looking down at her, ?Milady, I?m trying my best to keep Anakin with us, but I don?t know how far he?s fallen.? She nodded, ?Neither do I.?

?Well, now that we?ve gotten that discussed, what?s bothering you?? he inquired. Padme tensed turning away from him, ?Nothing,? she replied shaking her head. ?I know that?s not the truth Padme,? he said firmly. Padme just sighed, nobody knew and she was determined that no one would ever be burdened by her troubles again. Not after that awful incident with Anakin almost three years prior. Nobody, not even her handmaidens knew the constant pain and feeling of failure that Padme lived with. She felt like she?d done nothing right, she didn?t know how she survived sometimes. She knew somewhere that she?d gotten rid of her baby, but her mind and heart

 

Oh this is so emotional. Obiwan and Padme kissing, I wonder how far they will go and if Anakin will catch them in the act. I knew Obiwan was in love with her.

 

Now I acutally have to write more, this is the last of the prewritten stuff...stay tuned

The next morning
?Padme, Anakin knows we?re here, we must leave soon.? Obi Wan said focusing his eyes on her. Padme stiffened and looked up. ?I?ll be ready in an hour,? she said quietly getting up. A short while later, Obi Wan entered her room, ?Something?s wrong, isn?t it Padme?? He asked sounding extremely concerned. ?I?m just not feeling to well today, that?s all Master Kenobi.? She didn?t look up. ?Well, what?s wrong?? he inquired. ?The babies are acting up and it makes my whole body hurt, especially my back.? She offered him a weak smile. He stood behind and began massaging her back. Padme moaned with pleasure as she felt the tension slowly leave her back. Just then he pressed on a tender spot and she cried out in pain.

?What?s wrong?? Obi Wan asked with concern catching her around her widening middle as her knees buckled. ?You just hit a tight spot,? she whispered trying to regain her breath. ?I?m so sorry, are you sure you?re all right?? he inquired lowering himself behind her to the floor. ?I think so,? she finally said.

They started towards the ship, ?Where are we going Obi Wan?? she asked. ?We?re going to move around for a while; it?s the only way to keep Anakin from finding us. When the babies are born, then we?ll figure out what to do.? Obi Wan replied. Padme sighed to herself, she had always thought of Obi Wan as a Jedi Knight, but now she realized that he was a father figure to her. She trusted him to take care of her and her unborn children. Since her father had died five years ago, Padme had lacked that comfort of having someone she looked up to. She loved Anakin, but she didn?t look up to him and she knew he loved her like a husband would love his wife. Obi Wan loved her as a daughter.

Obi Wan glanced at Padme as they neared their ship. She looked pale and tired. He still couldn't believe what had happened between them. He loved her like a daughter and felt a strong urge to protect her from Anakin. He knew from talking with some of his friends outside the temple who were parents that the protective love of a parent was actually stronger than that of a husband. He felt that love for Padme. He had known her since the she was fourteen, granted there had been a long period of time where they had not had contact with each other but they had met when she was fourteen. She had been Queen of Naboo then. She had been fiery, determined, strong, and wise beyond her years. Now as he took her in out of the side of his gaze, she looked older, still beautiful though, the fiery looked in her eyes had dimmed greatly and the tired look of a woman who had suffered was clearly apparent. Obi Wan put an arm around her waist as they walked up the ramp, ?I?ll keep you safe Padme,? he murmured softly. A lone tear slipped from her eye as she whispered gratefully, ?I don?t know what I?d do without you Obi Wan.?

 

Question, you go from them kissing to now a father figure. Is there something in between the two posts we should know about?

You may want to clarify some things there.

hey, yeah, i'm really sorry about that, i was in a hurry to post something and i didn't read it through. What happened was i edited the content so i wouldn't have any trouble, and i edited to much. I'll try and rewrite the coversation they had and stick it in. It will go after "the next morning" and before he goes into her room to give her a back massage. The conversation is something to the extent of him wanting to protect her and she says she doesn't want to be unfaithful to Anakin. I might not get it up for a day or two, school is keeping me incredibly busy!!!! Sorry again

 

Its okay, readers will just want to know if Obiwan is in love with her or does he just decide to be a father figure to her because thats what she wants. So I will look forward to your posts when you get them up.

 

You could also have readers pm you for a post of what you can not put on the boards. Just make sure they are of age. Thats how some other authors do it. They will post on the board one version thats okay, then readers would pm the author for the pm version.

Just another thing to keep in mind. I can't wait to hear what happen that change Obiwan from a possible lover to a father figure. I will have to come across a story that uses the different versions so that you will have an idea of whats allowed and whats not. So if you want to add me to your pm list.

Obi Wan stood in the door way wondering how to approach the senator. He had kissed her when he'd vowed to protect her, how had he slipped from a father figure to?..whatever he was now.
"Padme," he spoke softly. She turned blushing towards him, "Good morning," "I'm so sorry, I totally overstepped my bounds." She looked down, "We both did Obi Wan, but the fact is I'm pregnant, and I'll never stop loving Anakin. I need you to care for me and keep me and my children safe. Technically you could say I'm your daughter in law." Obi Wan nodded, "I promised Anakin that I wouldn't let anything bad happen to you?..one night long ago, he may have forgotten, but I haven't."
She smiled softly, "You're dedication to me is astonishing." HE shook his head walking up to her and brushing a lock of hair away from her face, "Not at all Padme, you are a very special person, who has been dealt a terrible blow, but I will be here for you always, I'll not abandon you to the wolves." He lifted his other hand to brush away the long tear that rolled down her cheek. "I should go rest, I'm feeling quite tired." He nodded, "I'll be in touch, I need to find out where Anakin is." She walked away and he sighed leaving for his ship.

He sat down and accessed his private account; Mace Windu appeared on the holograph. "Anakin is the new apprentice of Darth Sidious, we have yet to discover who he is, but it shouldn?t be long now that we can follow Anakin. We have determined that Anakin is searching for Padme, you must stay one step ahead of him at all times." Obi Wan jumped up and rushed inside.
now to "Obi Wan stood in the door..."

 

So he only kissed her. Yes that does clear up some things.

 

Mini post: Would you kill me if i ended this story kinda soon.....it's really hard to keep multiple good stories going at the same time, i'm learning the hard way.


Once they were in outer space Padme paused to think about her options. She could fight and live a half life always doubting her decisions, she could die, or she could just take each day one at a time. She opted for the last option, there was no need to hurry, no need to rush. She put her hands on the babies; soon they would be born in a world of turmoil and hate. This was not right, how could she raise them, where could she raise them. Obi Wan opened the door, "We're here, and I hope that we can land without being noticed." She sighed, "Where's here?" he hesitated, "Bail Organa's palace on Aldeeran." She looked startled and a small smile flickered across her face, "It's perfect," she whispered. Here her babies would be born in a planet not yet within the grip of the empire and she would be free to live without the fear of Vader finding her.

"So what are you going to do with the children?" Bail asked his old friend once Padme had gone to bed. "I don't know, I have to separate them because of the combined Force presence." He nodded, "Padme can stay here forever as long as she maintains a low profile." Obi Wan nodded, "I have no doubt of that, she's suffered to much to care anymore." Bail nodded sadly, "I remember when she was Queen, how strong and happy she was. Now she's a mere ghost of what she had been." Bail hesitated, "Vader's looking for you." Obi Wan nodded, "I know, but I'm hoping he won't look here for a while."
