Just look at the way she cruelly laughs when poor Jar Jar says, "Mesa gettin bery scared,". Jar Jar has obviously had a terrifying day, and rather than comforting him and reasurring him, Padme just laughs evilly! How'd you feel if you said to someone, "I've just been in a terrible car crash and I only barely managed to escape with my life, and a big scary man chased after me shouting stuff," and they laughed heartily, slapping you on your back? It would be wrong!

Is this the shocking revelation, the startling final twist of the prequel trilogy? I think you and I both know I'm right. So, in conclusion, let me say I rest my case, and therefore draw an end to the previously halted proceedings.

Which could could only mean that Padmé is the real traitor and has been helping Palpatine become Emperor this whole time. And I bet she kills Windu too.

But anyway, yeah, that was really mean of her. I wouldn't have acted that way, especially if I was a Queen (or in my case, King,) even if she does have a prejudice against the Gungans.

It's obvious by the time you see AOTC, she's one of the MAIN reasons that Anakin falls to the darkside.

(No, I'm not being sarcastic at all.)

I'm not sure if she's the main reason Anakin falls, but in AOTC she does encourage Anakin to disobey the council, first by going to Geonosis and then, in a much more significant way, by marrying him. IMO she's one of many people who make small mistakes leading to his fall, a list that also includes Qui-Gon, Obi-Wan, and Yoda.

    P.S. Yes, I'm a newbie!

Well, Padme was pro-Tuskan-children-slaughter. I'd say the case for Padme isn't looking good. ;)

I agree. Plus she has this "spoiled handmaiden" thing going on...

Demanding to go along with Qui-Gon.

Pouting after Qui-Gon doesn't agree with her about Anakin...

    The list is endless.

    I'm sorry, I am very Anti-Padme. *Lol*

if padame is in on it with palpatine, please explain the twins? Don't tell me the jedi kill her, and take the children away and into hiding. There is no way lucas can pull that off without streching the boundaries of silliness.I wouldn't mind a twist, but not at the expense of the story. Don't do a twist just to do a twist.

    pro-Tuskan-children-slaughter

[face_laugh] Not to mention she liked the company of young boys. Tsk tsk, no wonder the Republic is in such a sorry state. At least Palpatine sounds like a decent man :p

They seem to be pretty well stretched in the Saga at the best of times :p !

I think Padme set up the assassination attempt on herself to create sympathy for her cause in the senate. [face_plain]

Precisely, LittleJedi! Did you notice the way she winks at the camera, when she says the line, "Do you have any idea who's behind this attack?" It's very quick and you'd only be able to see it if you see it on a digital surround screen, but it's there! Infact, I believe Obi-Wan winks at Luke when he tells the story about his father. Same with Shmi.

"There was no father ;) ."

    And with Palpatine!

"The thought of loosing you is unbearable ;) ."

Just look out for the winks as they give away further plot relevations. It's as true as cats enjoy umbrellas.

You're talking about CGI Vader, aren't you? There will likely be a scene in Episode III in which Vader plunges into a chasm and is saved by his umbrella and uncanny ability to always land on his feet.

I wonder, if there's a SE for the PTs, will they make the Tuskens shoot first? Then Padme won't be so "evil", right?

So long as she winks when she does it.

"I think she just assumes that Anakin killed a pack of animals."

That means she approves of cruelty to animals, which is just as bad! And I do not have a Steven Spielberg fixation.

    *puts up Steven Spielberg poster*

    So there!

I could care less about the tusken raiders,(there has been no reason to have sympathoy children or not. I see them a a pack of wild animals, and I'm not aa member of Peta, so I say kill them) I guess I am a supporter of palpitine too.

How could you, Quixotic? How could you? :_|

"Well said if a pack of animals attacked and tortured your friend's mom, and then your friend went out and killed them all you'd probably be forgiving of that kind of action too."

Oh yes. The amount of times my friend's mother gets kidnapped by a bunch of rabbits and gets tortured are just so many it's not true :p .
