How did Padme know that Anakin was still alive? When shes aks Obi-Wan if Anakin is alright he doesn't say anything.

Changed the title as we already have a thread with that title.

She wasn't told he's dead or left for dead so there's nothing else
she could assume. Or, if you believe the whole symbiosis theory,
    she just knew.

i dont buy the simbiosis theory at all,i think it was made up by the fans who just can not accept that she DID die by lost of will to live.

that comment aside i think she just wanted him to be alive.

It may also just be denial.

I doubt she realised Obi-wan and Anakin even fought, let alone that Anakin was almost killed.

exactly what i meant, she just WANTED him to be alive regardless of knowing if he was in fact alive or not.

i think she was in denial

Seems reasonable to me she would have 'felt' he was alive.
Also I'd guess that she realised a scrap was in the offing once Obi-Wan came off the ship.

It could be one of many things. She could have felt him, or she could've simply assumed it.

She didn't even know Anakin and Obi-wan fought.

I would like to know what you think she was going to say when she died.

    "there is still...." what?
My guess is "There is still hope"

she said there's till good in him, I know there is still (good in him).... She pased on those words to luke throught the force and to Leia she passed on her "images and feelings"

More appropriately, she didn't pass them down, but it is the legacy that the children received through their own powers of the Force. Padme didn't have any Force powers.

There was a fifty-fifty shot he was alive, one doesn`t make sense when they lose the will to live.

The line is also a good relation to Luke. Leia retained the memory of Padme, whereas Luke recieved her words: there is still good in Darth Vader.

But when Anakin spots Obi Wan at the top of the ramp, she turns and realizes what is about to happen. That's why she reacts the way she does.

She reacts as if she's watching a train wreck about to happen and is powerless to stop it.

She asks, then she passes out. She wasn't concious long enough for Obi-Wan to answer.

She simply had no reason to believe that Anakin was dead...

I am under the impression that Obi Wan did not want to tell her the truth in order not to put any more stress on the suffering girl.

A short time earlier, Padme (speaking to Obi Wan) says "You're going to kill him, aren't you?"

Then, the instant she realizes that Obi Wan is on Mustafar, she cries "NO!". She knows Obi Wan is there for ONE reason - to deal with Anakin.

I don't think she should know for certain one way or the other (if Anakin is dead), but I would say she has good reason to think it is a possibility.

Normally, I'd agree with you, but I don't think that Padme, who has just been force-choked out of conciousness, is dying, and giving birth can really put two and two together to realize this is the most probable case scenario.

OBI WAN: Padme,i MUST find him

PADME: you are going to kill him arent you ??

OBI WAN: he has become a very great threat.

she knew obi wan was gonna try to kill anakin.

padme was a smart girl, she could put 1+1 and know that is 2,of course she knew they had a fight.

Padme was not Jedi-trained, but it has always been clear in the saga she is more Force-sensitive than an average person. Plus, she has just carried two of the most powerful Jedis-to-be in Luke and Leia for 9 months, it is likely to believe there has been some midichlorian transference from children to mother.

She knew Obi-Wan and Anakin were going to fight. She knows Anakin is still alive. She knows there is still good in him -- and this is the knowledge which is transferred, through the Force, to Luke.

I wouldn?t say she?s Force-sensitive, but she does have a strong connection to her husband. A strong enough connection to know that he's not dead.

Lucas said that in ROTS Padme was the most Force-sensitive being ever (because of the twins), and he was originally going to do more with it, but let that plotline go for the more important things.
