    They probably will do a whole body shot.

    But what I'm hoping for is a promo shot on the enhanced DVD-rom!

    Unfortunately that pic of the back finally decides that I will never do this dress, too bad, since my lost material has been found again. :(

    I really like Mrs. Naberrie's dress, really cute.

    You know what Obi Anne? I'd still be doing this wonderfull outfit, but I'd modify the back. Not that I don't like nude back (I'm working on the rainbow dress), but I think it'd be nicer with a full back.

    The rainbow dress is very dressy, and the nude-bak is totally appropriate (IMHO), but this blue outfit could almost passed for an everyday one (a little bit like the pale blue Tatooine one), and from its front, you wouldn't expect such a back!

    One last thing : if you look at the concept art for this costume, then I think the back is OK, but the final costume is too diferent from the drawing.

    Sorry, I don't know if I've been understandable, its past midnight?

    I don't see why you say the final costume is too diff. from the concept design...I was surprised that it looked a lot like the design drawing...

    The material I started on, before I had even seen the full dress was simply two layers, couldn't find a good crinkly fabric. So I had a ligthblue underfabric, and then over it an even lighter transparent fabric that I did some crinkling to.

    "I don't see why you say the final costume is too diff. from the concept design...I was surprised that it looked a lot like the design drawing.."

    Hum, trying to explain myself : in my opinion, it's not the general desgn that differs, but the "mood" of this outfit. I think the concept art is much more dramatic than the final one. First, the color, black vs baby blue, and second, the skirt, which seems to me tighter than the one she actually wears.

    Ho my gosh, I think I'm being less and less understandable? ;-)

    I'd say it'd be a slate-blue/grayish crinkle fabric. I'd also go for cotton but that's because I'm a cheapskate :D.

    The piping I'd do in contrast darker blue. I have no experience piping, though, so...it's just color idea. The back looks a little complicated, anyone have any ideas? It's a beautiful costume, isn't it?!

    P.S. I WANT the headband!

    I got the chance to buy my fabirc for the Naboo minth dress for my Padme doll :):)
    [image=http://membres.lycos.fr/padmeskywalker/IMAGE002.jpg]

    [image=http://membres.lycos.fr/padmeskywalker/IMAGE001.jpg]

    I just CANNOT wait to start this project.....but first I have to do paint my Blue Tatooine dress desings on the puncho...then start doing the Robe for the Naboo nightgown.. then trying to remake the White Tatooine skirt...THEN I will be able to do my Naboo Minth gown :)

    I will do the headpiece with an oval (or rectangular) piece of that fabric and will put a snap at the end and I will wrap it around my doll,s head...I will use the Defense of Naboo Padme for it...since she has no loose hair...I also bougth doll,s hair curls at a dolalr shop...they are exactly like the Padme doll hair, and very curly :) I will glue those crusl to the headband :):):) I CAN'T wait !!!!!!!
    Ok I am off to paint those designs...

    it's new, it's blue, its freaking backless

    I know there's another pic up higher that proves it's backless, but I totally didn't expect it.

    That cape is the most beautiful cape yet! I wont do it though.

    I'm starting to think about maybe I will continue the project that I started, but modify it heavily, i.e. full back and full front, I would never wear anything that showed my back or stomach. I would probably try to keep the skirt, the slieves and the turtleneck though. I have plenty of time to think about it, I will probably not have any possibility to start until some time next year.

    Padme,s headpiece is done...but I took these photos yesterday (cuz it was sunny) but now I have more things done for that outfit...the sleeve are now attached to the "collar" centre-piece(she is wearing ti right now) and she also have the turtlneck :) all this attach with snaps on the back of her neck (where the outfit makes a nice round shape on the back) the snaps are not gorgeous..but I beleive the outfit certainly have to close and open somewhere !!

    I will *probably* re-do the turtlneck today, as I find it too loose...but there is just a slight chance anyways..it is nice as it is !!
    But I will surely do the boobs part that connect at the bottom of her back..that might not be tough...it is rather simple to do !!

    I will post pics when it is Sunny...it is rainingso much that my outfit might be completed when I get the chance to take pics !

    Jedi_Samantha, I can't access the photo with the address give (maybe cause it's too long?) so I went the longer way by http://www.natalieportman.com/temp/swep2/ instead. ;)

    Spitsweet, the costume for your doll seems to come along fine. ;) The fabric kinda look like that being used for 12" Posable Maul & Maul Buddies' Outer Robe; is it?
