Padme Amidala Padme's Wedding Dress

I just finished my Version 2.0 of this dress~
Here are some pics Here (The pics on the Left are the *new* one, the right is my first version.

This is for a Star Wars Wedding this Friday.

That is a true improvement upon the gown. It looks so close to the orginal, even without antique Australian bedspreads. *laugh* (Not to say that the first version was bad. Considering what little information you had to work from, it's great.)

I think I know who I'm asking to make my wedding gown in a few years, if I don't make it myself...

Thanks Everybody I am a lot happier with this version, too. I keep scowering ebay and thrift shops for the vintage bedspread for Version 3.0 LOL!! But in the meantime I have to make do with what's readily available. Thanks again for all the kind words. I will be sure to post pics as soon as I get some from the Wedding.

I don't know if anyone would actually want to use these...lol but when I saw them I was immediately reminded of Padme's gorgeous wedding costume, so I thought I'd just see what you guys thought about these veils.

Why on earth would anyone want an action figure of Padme in her wedding gown?

When is the wedding version of Anakin, C3PO, R2D2 and the Naboo holyman going to be available. I know every kids is going to want to recreate that action-filled scene, over & over again!


I just had to share. I just love silly toys.



I haven't made any more progress on this costume yet. Still waiting for Quincy to grow a bit taller before I cut out the precious fabric.

 

I thinkt the action figure is quite ugly, I had planned to buy but now I wont do that.

Also I'm quite sure that there is a secret ceremony Anakin, with the other part of the terrace and with a mechanical hand.

 

Hey, the 'action' comes shortly after that scene... snicker snicker!

 

Hey man! I have both my Wedding Padme and Secret Ceremony Anakin set up on the 'Padme toy' shelf holding hands and gazing into each other's plastic eyes!

The bouquet bit she comes with is dreadful and the paint job they did on my figure...pretty atrocious. *sigh* Nonetheless, I had to have it.

 

It seems ALL of the wedding Padmes got awful paint jobs...

I wasn't able to get Secret Ceremony Anakin - but I got the Padme - though her face could be a lot nicer, I love the Amidala and Padme action figures and I wish they would have done more of them!

They are supposed to come out with the light blue tatooine midriff costume (with cape) next. It was supposed to be sometime in October or November...

Sigh. I keep wishing Hasbro had issued some 12" dolls for AOTC, like they did with those high quality Queen Amidala Portrait Editions for TPM. The costumes on the dolls were so well done.

Maybe they'll do some for Ep. III.

 

I spent several hours this weekend beginning to bead the headpiece for this costume. I must have sewn on several hundred 2mm, 3mm, 4mm, 5mm, & 6mm ivory-colored craft pearls onto (so far) 9 different pieces of vintage lace. It is really starting to get a great texture.
