Yeah was nice to watch the Red Sox win.

 

Nice way to open the series. I just hope they do a better job of hitting with RISP from here on out.

 

I only caught the game from about the 6th inning on. So I pretty much missed all the shaky hitting.

 

I am deliriously happy.

 

I think the Red Sox pitchers are trying to give this game away by walking the entire Angels lineup.

Francona made some questionable bullpen moves but Drew came through in the 9th.

Hopefully the Sox can finish off the angels at home and set up an AL East showdown in the ALCS.

 

I know he's been hurt, but I couldn't feel more secure if you told me Classic Pedro was pitching.

At least Rodriguez threw a ton of pitches. If our bullpen holds, we should be able to hammer him (or his successor) when our big sluggers come up in either 11 or 12.

Great win by the team though. Francona should have his head examined for lifting Lester AND pulling the hook way too soon on Okijima. Masterson was just brutal. Unless it's mop-up duty in a blowout, I hope he doesn't make his way out of the pen again any time soon.
