Totally awesome, but there appears to be a gap in the orange blaster fire underneath the AT-ST. Maybe I'm missing something, I don't know...

But this painting is probably your best yet. You will probably gain the attention of LFL with this one.

Glad it looks like Luke. Sometime I might post the in-process of him because it's hilarious and he looks like a ferret.

Jace, I put the gap in there on purpose... it's supposed to be repeating fire as opposed to a long stream of it. I'll keep practicing my laser fire; it's getting better but still needs a lot of work.

I kind of doubt anyone from LFL actually visits the fanart boards, but I appreciate the wishful thinking.

Wow that Obi-wan picture on the right is perfect!

Obi actually looks plastic close-up, but I discovered a trick while working on this (if you could call it that).

See, I would draw two characters or so on a big long canvas, then pull it into Photoshop to test how it would look banner-size. But everytime I did that, my aspect ratio would be too tall... to fit into a 110 px high banner size, the heads would have to be cut off or something. So I would add 500 pixels to the left or right of the canvas to try to fix the aspect ratio. I did this 6 or 7 times on an already huge canvas and ended up with one almost 6000 px wide.

I thought that would be annoying, but I noticed that all my messy brushwork would be really hidden when I zoomed out to a normal-looking size. Check 'em out next to their reference photos:

Those are still zoomed out to about 35-40% of their actual size, but you can see they're really messy even at this magnification.

And now I've written a novel. Oh well.

I work for a multi-media firm, so I've got a nice graphics workstation. It's a Velocity Micro, 3.2 Ghz HT Pentium 4, 2.1 GB memory, dual-256 GB SATA hard-drives RAID box.

It's dangerous territory to encourage me to talk about my computer, though. I have an unhealthy infatuation with it. I'm only just barely managing to refrain from spouting poetry...
