OT: Hey, I just had this thought. Does anyone know how to put pictures in the thread? It'd be cool to dress up the thread with Palpy piccies as some of the other thread managers have done.

    I don't know how ...

Well, my dear, unfortunately, I have not yet found a picture of The Emperor as rendered in Pink 5. I mean, really, you need a supreme overlord who needs moisturizer any day of the week. I may have to screencap.

He is, in a very devious way. You know, the whole role he had in the Faith Healer...maybe that could have been directly tied to his whole thing with "Save Padme" in ROTS.

He's very charming. He could be a lady-killer, if he'd like to, but that's far beneath his character and his honour, isn't it?

I dunno. Every male, unless he's been castrated, has testosterone.

While I don't imagine that "lady killing" would be a main objective of his, when he really desires female companionship, I'm sure he can turn on the charm. Long enough to get what he wants, of course.

    After that, however ... [face_worried]

I agree. It's somehow interesting to speculate about someones love life you barely know anything about. Or even nothing!

I mean, what do we really know about his private life? Let alone the possibility of guessing, speculating makes him a much more faszinating character than most of the other SW characters we do know more about.

Hm, I actually can't explain in details why it is always the evil character im interested the most. It had been so with Flash Gordon, so it is with SW.

I'm planning a new short story but I'm looking for an female OC; I don't know yet if it is going to be a love story, a drama or even both. My current problem is creating a perfect fitting character who would be a good match for him; in the sithly way...

Oh yes, indeed! But the shipping would cost me a lot, excluding the figure itself! *g* So, it's just a dream and will stay a dream. The figure, and especially the features, are incredible! So real! So lively! I've never seen any figure like that for SW!

It is not little. It's 12 inches.

I'd love to have one. BUT, they come as a set for some $100, then there is the shipping.

I got a summer bonus at work, but I really should use it for continuing ed and not Palpy.

*cowers, hoping not to get struck with blue lightning*

*tries to remember what 12 inches are in centimetres*

I just own these small figures; and I hide them when guests are visiting me. My office is also my living room, and I suppose showing everyone that I really LOVE SW might be a bit too childish for some of my "colleagues". Someone once said stuff about "care more for your reputation" bla-bla...

I suppose there won't be a chance to get them at ebay in future times? Perhaps I should visit my local comic stores more often, some started to import SW collectibles in the 90ies.

So THAT's why Palpatine went all creepy at the end. He wasn't evil. He was hypoglycemic!
