I've gathered most of my information from headlines, but it sounds like this thing could be HUGE underwater. Symptoms include all the basic symptoms from the most common of diseases...but to the max. You could have a mild case already and not even know it!

Are we all doomed? Are adults next or is this a Children of Men scenario? Are terrorists responsible? Did David choose the WRONG time to get his green card? These questions and more may be answered if I read the contents of the articles.

Followed the link, and I have a query.

The report referred to a children's hospital in Kansas City, Missouri. Why do Americans mention the State that a city lies in in, so often? Are there multiple cities with the same name in the US?
I got it with Washington, seeing as there is a Washington State, as well as a District of Columbia version; and being British, I understand things like Birmingham, Alabama, because we have a Birmingham here too, so cheers for the distinction.

But after a while, doesn't anyone think the viewers will have figured out where a US city is, without being reminded about it every single time?

 

There are many, many city names that exist in multiple states, yes.

In particular, there's a pretty sharp divide between Kansas City, Kansas, and Kansas City, Missouri.

Seriously, I have no idea. All I hear in the news is an outbreak of a mysterious illness causing respiratory problems. Could be any number of things. Frankly, the news media here is full of tosspots.
