OK, update for the Sherrill Clan.

1) Veggie Tray sounds good. I'll talk to Andrew about that since he works at P & C and they should be able to do one.

2) Salad? I assume you mean like a chef's salad. That's a possibility. I could see that as a Jennifer item.

3) I still like the green mac and cheese idea and I may experiment with that tonight.

Put down #1 as a definite. The other two still need to be discussed.

I'll also have Andrew talk to Nate. I'm pretty sure he plans on coming, but I haven't seen him post what he's bringing.

 

LOL, I shall bring whatever is needed or wanted. I am your slave of the food tray =P. So what is needed?

I got some cool videos of AOTC TV spots and stuff. Also a DVD of toy commercials from 77-97 if someone can bring a lap top with DVD or a portable.

 

OK, call me a mad scientist, but the experiment was a success! I will be bringing Macaroni & Cheese (Green). Jennifer will bring a veggie tray (maybe two). Andrew will bring a fruit tray (maybe two).

I assume the Mac and cheese can be warmed up in a steamer or something.

 

I went tonight and paid the deposit on the Hall so we are all set........
As far as the Mac N cheese goes....I was told tonbight that the steamer tables are best for keeping things already warm. We wont have a kitchen there to heat it up....what kind of pan will it be in? I may be able to heat it up after the parade....

A little heads up about the after parade party. We now have the hall booked and ready for us but, I must stress that there is to be NO LIGHTSABER BATTLES IN THE BUILDING.

Sorry but if there is any damage, we will lose the deposit.

Well, if we got 40 people to feed then my dip may go quick. Its Yummy. I cannot make more then one pan. Sorry, I am cheap. If anyone else would like to make some, be my guest. Its very easy. I am sure it will get eaten. Here is the recipe.

Ingredients

1 can refried beans
1 16 oz sour cream
1 8 oz package cream cheese
1 regular size bottle taco sauce, what ever kind, I suggest roasted jalapeno from old El Paso
1 packet of Taco seasoning
chopped olives 1 small can or what ever you want
1 tomato
About 1/2 head or so of lettuce chopped or shredded
Shredded Cheddar Cheese

1. Spread beans on the bottom of a cake pan, 13 / 9 or what ever you got that's close

2. Mix the cream cheese at room temperature with sour cream and taco seasoning.
Make sure cream cheese is worm so there is no lumps. Spread this mixture onto the beans.

3. Pour taco sauce evenly over the mixture.

4. Top with olives, cheese, lettuce then tomato.

 

If anyone is making Hot food it needs to be in a pan like Jeffs so it can sit inside another Pan in the Steamer table
The dollar store has Foil Pans there

 

We're bringing green mac n cheese as well We're making it the night before, is there a mircowave or something we can put it in?

 

no there wont be any place to warm up your food, please read ealier posts and also check on yahoo group for info on how to handle your food

Im sorry Jen I was out the door when I posted... I could of sworn we posted about the foil pans and to bring anything that needed to be heated up to my house early.

At any rate we can heat it up at my house. Everyone needs to be there by 11:30.
