St. Lou, MO Parades/Charity Walks, Any Interest in Participating?

Any word yet on if we are in or out?

 

Nope, deadline was 1/31, so I think we've got a while to wait still.

 

I'm all for a charity event of any sort.

 

Yeah, I would love to do something like that, but I'm too far away to get up there for one day--I will try to catch you guys in the parade on tv (or, is it televised locally?)

 

Got the most anti-climatic letter today about the St. Patrick's parade. Said we'd here back by the second week in February.

 

That's crazy! You'd figure they would give people more notice in the case of building a float. I don't know how long it takes to build a float, but 30 or so days, doesn't seem like alot. I know we're not building one, but you know someone is I'm sure. I would want more notice if I was going to build a float.

 

I guess most people have it ready to go to a point. There was a spot for pictures of your float on the app. But I agree with you, more notice would be grand.

 

I hope they reply soon that way i can decide on what else to do with my costume.

Well I could have a letter waiting at home. If we get in it'll all get done, trust me.

 

See we did hear back in two weeks. We didn't get in, but we heard back.

 

So...that'd be a no then? Oh well. I'm pretty sure we could get into the Fairview Heights Homecoming Parade @ Mayish. They pretty much let anyone into that.

 

We didn't get in??? Darn it... Guess there was too many green cheerleaders and the like.

 

That's a bummer...

 

But even though we didn't get into this parade...we are planning to visit three children hospitals during the Regional Meeting in June, two of which are already set with times...so everyone can plan on that service!! Matter of fact, the more the merrier..

 

That's right! I'm looking forward to that.

I'll check around here and see if there are any parades we can possibly get into...

 

All I can say is WTH? They let every Tom, Joe and Freak in that parade. Believe me i have worked it and stood on standby for half the drunk parade folks( I ain't talking of those on the sidelines either)

That just really makes me upset, I mean come on!!!!!!!

What hospitals and will they all be on Sunday? I do want to do that.

OH COOL! As I have a lot of Military friends at SAFB, that would be coolness.

 

If I supply the wagon will somebody pull me through the parade? LOL! I don't think I could walk for an entire parade route. I have trouble walking up and down the stairs. Ugh!
