Best Planet: Kamino - It's new, it's different from what we've seen before, plus it just looked amazing.
Worst Planet: Naboo. Been there, done that, nothing really happens here.
Best Extra: Kit Fisto! As Kit would say,

Best Shot: Anakin walking toward the speeder bike to find Shmi, I don't know, something about that shot did it for me.
Worst Shot: That's hard, but I have to agree with another poster and say San Hill's dumb smile.
Best Weapon/Gadget: Lightsaber. Come on, who didn't want one as a kid! Or as a teen. Or an adult....
Worst Weapon/Gadget: Like there is such a thing in the Star Wars universe.
Best Costume: Jango Fett. I've never been a huge Fett fan (I don't DISlike 'em, mind you), but I admit, the costume is ubercool.
Worst Costume: Bail Organa's turtleneck. C'mon, Bail, can you even breath in that thing?
Best Set: The Lars Homestead. Ah, the memories.
Worst Set: Padme's Apartment on Coruscant. It was just kinda... blaah. The only thing cool about it was that it afforded Obi-Wan a window to heroicly jump out of.
Character You Wanted to See Die: Mas Ameeda, or whatever Palpatine's right hand man's name was. I've never liked that guy.
Character You Wish Hadn't Died: Naboo Lt. Nope, actually I have to go with Shmi. I really liked her in TPM and thought she had a nice chemistry with Qui-Gon (Winner of this very award for TPM) But if she didn't die, we wouldn't have the cool "confession scene" that everyone digs.

Best Planet: Coruscant. We got to see the kinky and seedy nightlife, the working class diner, and the halls of power, both political and Jedi. You can't get better than that.Yeah, we saw it in TPM, but it's better this time.

Worst Planet: Geonosis. A steamier version (literally) of Tatooine is not what we need. We already got a brown dirtball.

Best Extra: Luminara Seguri (sp?) she's a cool looking Jedi.

Worst Extra: One of those Geonosian handlers in the arena. I was glad when one of them was eaten by the Nexu (which was kinda cute)

Best Shot: The look of raw dark power and hatred on Anakin's face as he looks up after Shmi dies. Heebie-jeebies, chills, shudders, you name it, I got it. Intense. Massively cool.

Worst Shot: Dooku flying his scooter. Sorry, gotta vote for that again. Don't Sith, even apprentice Sith, rate better vehicles?

Best Weapon: A tie between lightsabers and seismic charges.

Worst Weapon: Zam's rifle. She needs to go to the range for practice or upgrade.

Best Costume: A tie between the fireplace dress (inappropriate, yeah, but I liked it) and the reunion dress on Coruscant. I especially love the hair arrangement.

Worst Costume: Corde's dress (post explosion)

Best Set: The youngling's classroom. Beautiful, especially with the starmap on. What I wouldn't give to have had classes in a room like that, I'd have done better.

Worst set: The subway train that Anakin and company ride before they go seperate ways. Reminds me too much of regular public transit where I live. That's probably where GL got the idea, since we live in the same area.

Character You Wish Had Died: I don't normally advocate kiddie murder, but Bobba. I like OT Bobba, though I'm not a rabid Fett fan, but his kid self sucks big time. That little snicker drove me freakin' crazy. I nearly threw my shoe at the screen.

Character You Wish Hadn't Died: Shmi. Her death was terrible and filled with too much future tragedy. I liked her.

Jedi_Lite, keep 'em coming. By the way, any chance you'll expand this to TPM or the OT? That would be wizard.

Character You Wish Hadn't Died: My first instinct is to say Cordé, but I think her death showed how loyal the handmaidens are. I'm going with Shmi for this one. She's one of my favorite PT characters and I thought she died too soon.

Best Planet: Kamino. Teeming with chilling atmosphere. I hope this isn't the last we've seen of this cool planet.

Worst Planet: Tatooine. I know we kind of HAD to see this place again to see Shmi die, but it's been in so many Star Wars movies already. Let's go somewhere new!

Best Extra: I would vote for the Death Stick guy, but since our extra can't have dialog, I'll go with . . . Aayla Secura (sp?). She's cute, she's a Jedi, and she's pretty popular around here. So, what the heck...

Worst Extra: -

Best Shot: Padme & Anakin being taken into the arena as they kiss. I hope this counts, because it IS technically one shot. Even though the camera eventually pans around to look at the whole arena, and the music really makes that shot, I think it should count. Because it IS my favorite shot.

Worst Shot: -

Best Weapon/Gadget: The lightsabers, of course!

Worst Weapon/Gadget: Artoo's rockets. Really, I didn't have a problem with them. But, it's the worst thing I can think of off the top of my head. And, besides, it does seem a bit forced since we've NEVER seen those used in four other SW movies.

Best Costume: Padme's dress in the otherwise horrible meadow romp scene. Rrrrrowr!

Worst Costume: The Techno Union guy's suit. What WAS that, anyway?

Best Set: For this movie, this is hard to distinguish from best CGI, since most sets are mostly CGI. But, I'll say the launch bay where the lightsaber battles with Dooku were. Perfect spot for a lightsaber showdown, if you ask me, even without a bottomless pit this time around.

Worst Set: -

Character You Wanted to See Die: Well, I know who's going to win this one. But, I'll cast my vote to the contrary and say lil' Boba. I know he's just a kid. But, in my opinion, he was the most annoying person in the movie. Thankfully, he outgrows that.

Character You Wish Hadn't Died: I would say Shmi, but I know she has to die for the sake of the series. So, instead, I'll say . . . Corde? I don't know, she seemed nice...

Can't wait for the awards presentation! But, I've got to say, Jedi Lite, you've got some topics here that are going to get some varied responses and be tough to tally up. But, if you want to do this, more power to you!

Best Shot: The side shot of Palpatine as he looks over his new army. Reminds me of a very similar shot at the end of Qui-Gon's funeral. Lots of forshadowing.

Worst Shot: When the camera for no reason at all shows a shot looking above Obi-Wan, Lama Su, and Taun We during the Clone tour. Its the shot that everyone complains about what it is trying to show.

Best Weapon/Gadget: Dooku's Lightsaber

Worst Weapon/Gadget: The cattleprods that the Geonosians use that didn't do anything but piss off (can I say that here?) the creatures.

Best Costume: Anakin's Jedi Uniform. Its as close to Vader as you can get without the armor.

Worst Costume: -

Best Set: The Geonosis War Room. Where we first see the Death Star. I just love the way the map shows all the units in the battle. Reminds me of a RTS game.

Character You Wanted to See Die: Nute Gunray. I wish he cought on fire when Jango fired his flamethrower. On second thought... he is one of my favorite characters... just wanted to see him on 'fiyah!'

Character You Wish Hadn't Died: Jango Fett. He's the only one that died that mattered.
