Best Planet: Naboo. So Corusants all cool and gadget-y, but its been run-over by technology! Where's a bit of vegetation when you need it? Naboo is just breath-taking, plus Italy, who can resist?

Worst Planet: Kamino. I hate rain. And overcast skies.

Best Extra: Anthony Daniels...i'm just pround that i spotted him on my first viewing without the fore-knowledge that he was an extra. yay me!

Worst Extra: That guy lying on the ground who looked up (like he was waiting for the shot to end) after Padme's ship exploded right at the beginning. He completely ruined it for me.

Best Shot: That shot of Yoda holding his lit lightsabre after he 'forced' his sabre into his hand. YODA RULZ!!!!!!!!!!

Worst Shot: Padme's run when she got up from her fall. Exaggurated.

Best Weapon/Gadget: The marble-looking galaxy map thingy (I'm not good with names)that Obi-Wan and Yoda and the kinder-Jedis look for Kamino in.

Worst Weapon/Gadget: Hmmm...this is hard. I kinda thought they were all pretty cool. I don't have one.

Best Costume: Padme's Naboo picnic dress

Worst Costume: Nute Gunray and his servant guy. I just HATE them.

Best Set: Naboo in the picnic scene, that wide shot with the waterfall in the background was so pretty!

Worst Set: Jango's apartment. Way too sterile for me, too much like a very clean hospital.

Character You Wanted to See Die: Dooku. I wish he'd died and gave the movie that traditional bad guys die/good guys live happily ever after and ride into the sunset ending. That kinda happened but HE'S STILL ALIVE!!!

Character You Wish Hadn't Died: That Jedi who got shot by Jango when he was trying to kill Dooku. I wanted Dooku to DIE!


I don't know all the non-leading characters' names yet, or any of the gedgets/vehicles coz I saw SW for the FIRST time in March this year. Gimme a litlle time. Excuse the non-knowledge-ness

Worst Extra: those crappy alien insect things in the senate who made the weird pulling hand movements when Palps raised the army.

Best Shot: The look Padme gives Anakin after he's teasing her at the picnic, JUST before he rides the shaak. This look speaks VOLUMES and makes Padme's love for Anakin very genuine. The wide-eyed, biting-lip gaze just melts my heart every time...

Worst Shot: The cut to the fireplace scene. It's like are coming in half way through a conversation... which we are.

Best Weapon/Gadget: Dooku's lightsabre

Worst Weapon/Gadget: Geonosian energy bubble shooter. Looks like something out of Battlefield Earth (shudder).

Best Costume: Padme's backless dress in the Naboo kiss scene - oh my lordy-doodee-do.

SmallWrinkly guy- Poggle doesn't qualify as an extra. He has quite a few lines, they just have to be translated for us.

Just an FYI, read Jedi_Lite's directions before posting.

A lot of you are putting people who had lines in the best/worst character slots. Only people who did not speak should be put in these categories.

Jedi_Lite, are you going to disregard votes for people who had lines or just let it slide?

I just finished reading through people's votes and I have a thought. Hopefully this will also keep this thread on the first page.

First a tiny bit of nitpicking, as far as best set/worst set. The valley that Anakin and Padme are in is not a set, it's a location. Also, don't call it a bad location just because you didn't like the acting or shaak riding in that scene. I think I only saw that named a couple times though.

The bigger thing is the best/worst shot categories. The quality of a "shot" refers to cinematography, in other words, lighting, composition, camera movement, colors, the imagery. If someone does something cool or acts well in a shot, it doesn't mean that it's a great shot. And a shot isn't bad just because Jar Jar's present. All the comments like "Worst shot-Jar Jar's **** eating grin" and "Worst shot-Anything with Boba, he was annoying" make people look really ignorant.

But it seems the majority is voting for real shots, so hopefully "anything with Boba or Jar Jar" won't win the category in the end.

Best Planet: Kamino and Naboo.

Worst Planet: All the planets are good, but Geonosis was the worst in this. There just isn't much interesting about Geonosis's general look , and with Tatooine already in the movie, it just feels like there's too many dessert planets.

Best Extra: All the Jedi in arena fight. 50 lightsabers going at the same time? Awesome.

Worst Extra: Kit Fisto

Best Shot: The wedding between Anakin and Padme. Somehow that's even more chilling than the shot before of the clone army.

Worst Shot: C-3PO on the barge droid.

Best Weapon/Gadget: Lightsabers! c'mon, those are classic.

Worst Weapon/Gadget: Zam's rifle.

Best Costume: Padme's dress when she and Anakin are walking on the balcony. *I* want that dress. Second has to go to Anakin's Jedi robes.

Worst Costume: Bail Organa's outfit. How does he BREATHE?

Best Set: The balcony on Naboo-so pretty. Also the Lar's homestead, nostalgia.

Worst Set: The factory on geonosis. It just seemed like a "Look what we can do" moment.

Character You Wanted to See Die: Jar Jar or Palpy. Jar Jar just doesn't serve any purpose for me, and rveryone loves to root against Palpy, even though we know he lives to ROTJ. While I didn't want Dooku to die, I was suprised he didn't.

Character You Wish Hadn't Died: Shmi and Jango Fett. I have a weakness for parents who bite the dust.
