Traya accepted the rose with a playful smirk.

?How lovely? she said, holding the flower close to her face so she could smell the fragrance. It smelled a soft gentle sent, that also carried strength at the same time. ?It?s nice to see this type of culture in gentlemen nowadays.?

Traya held the rose in front of her and blew from her lips. Her breath turned into a stronger string of wind which pulled the flower out of her hand and float in the air.

Carefully, Traya manipulated the air around the flower of make it move rhythmically, almost like it was dancing to no music. Then she moved it close to Y?Amer and tickled his nose with the petals, and finally called it back to her hand.

"Y'Amer. You were the one who decorated your people's King's castle, aren't you?" said Siyamak.

Y'amer watched as the rose swayed in the air. It was majical watching the stunning rose move in the air. As the rose fell into Y'amers hand he smiled and faintly bit his lip.

Yea that was me. Beautiful sight isnt it?

Thorr looked around the room. He didn't recognize any one here. From what he could tell, he was the only one who used the elemnt light. He reached down and felt his swords by his side. Even though he avoided using them whenever he could, when he had to, he was deadly. He had only been bested in battle once, and that had been when he was thriteen. Growing up on the streets, Thorr had to be tough to survive. But after he was taken in by the ranger, and had become one himself, he had realized that there was more to life than winning sword deuls. He had seen the problems that violence could cause, and had suffered first hand some of those consequences. He could remeber no time when he had felt as torn as this. On the one hand, he needed the money to survive, on the other, he couldn't help thinking of himself as a sell-out. He watched the faces of the other warriors, reaching out and feeling what they felt. Looking for weaknesses. Hoping that nobody would recognize the raging battle going on inside of him...

Every inch. Inside and out. Was quiet a task. But it came out beautiful. Pants are magnificent things and mixed with the beauty of the castle, it makse quiet a sight dont you think?

Y'amer had spen days decorating that castle. The roses that fill the garden never need watering. They only need the purity of the planet.

Siyamak Damia IC:

Siyamak shrugged, "Just heard about it was all, never seen the place. With the elemental war going on between all our clans, it would be hard for me to get there, even during the Month of Peace. I'd probably be imprisoned if I got in Plants Territory, if not outright killed.

"I've heard it was indeed impressive though. So, what's a King's gardner doing in a Gladiatorial Tournament?" he asked curious, tilting his head up to look at Y'amer.

Im no gardener. Im a warrior who was asked to do a job. It might have been a decorating job but no garderner would have been able to deal with work that I went through. But yes, it is truly magnificent.

Y'amer was very proud of his work on that castle. What better way to show the beauty of plants than by showing their majesty in a castle?

IC: Derk
Waiting Room

Derk sat alone in a dark corner of the room, far from the other bunches of Elementals. Now was not a time to socialize...no...now was a time to prepare.

The first two rounds of battle had gone easy for him. Almost too easy in fact. "Always calmest before the storm" some said...or as his grandfather put it, "All ways peaceful before the war"

And, oddly enough, they were Celebrating the month of Peace here.

Not that it was logical. Which of the immortals had come up with that idea. Man, he would have loved to be at that meeting.

"Alright Guys, here's the deal. We got August comming up soon...what are we gonna do to celebrate the Month of Peace?"
"How about we all have a giant feast?"
"Nah...to predictable."
"What about a large party...with free food and drink..."
"That could work...but we need something else to bring them in...anyone?"
"We could throw a Bloody Gladatorial Contest just before the feast..."
"Brilliant!"

He smiled at the thought.

Any minute now the Tournament would start again, and his smile faded to a grimace. What if he lost. What if he didn't live up to the family reputation.

Or worse. What if he lost to a Plant? Or an Ice?

He pushed the thoughts out of his head, hand digging inside of his small satchel, which lay next to his sword and bow, both proped against the wall next to him.

It was times like these he needed a smoke. A puff or two all ways helped calm his nerves.

He drew his long pipe from the satchel, and a small leather bag of tobacco.

His well trained fingers quickly packed the pipe, and a small flame emmitting from his thumb lit the dried plant.

He took a long drag, and let the smoke out slowly. He felt much better...

He gazed a a Torch not far away, making the flames dance with a wave of his finger, causing them to flare and subside, to expanded to the left, and then the right. Making them form geometric shapes and runes...

And he waited.

Siyamak nodded, "If you say so, there's only one way to find out though. If you two don't mind, I'm going to catch some rest."

With that, Siyamak nodded to them both and suddenly scooted further down the bench so he had room and laid down, closing his eyes. He did not sleep, but he half-slept, torn between the world of the conscious and falling into the world of dreams and fantasies, keeping his ears as open as he can for the announcement of his name to enter the arena.

IC as Bresaadi Droverson

Bresaadi stood with her back against one of the walls of the waiting room. The young blonde and blue-eyed, 22 year old woman had made it through two rounds of fighting with luck. She reached down and took the end of her red dress, wiping off the blood on her two swords. Her gown was silk red, with only one sleeve on the left side, and a gold wrap was snaked around her hips. A belt also laid around her hips and two sheaths were attached to both sides, they were curved to fit both curved swords.

Bresaadi watched the quiet chatter between some of the warriors, she; however, waited for them to approach her. She was the quiet and shy type, that people always needed to comment on, but who knew who would be called to begin dueling in front of the Immortals, and having the chance to do so was a great honor. She wanted to concentrate on the upcoming battle so that she would not fail in front of them. Her blue eyes watched the others calmly, trying to figure their weaknesses and strengths just by the way they stood or how they asserted themselves into conversation. Bresaadi quietly observed.

OOC: A little update on my characters if I may.

Name: Alahandra Akemi

Sex: Female

Age: 23

Height: 5'9

Physical Build: Toned and athletic from long hours of physical training.

Eye Color: Green

Hair Color: Blonde

Element: Light

Weapons:

Morningstar (Morning glory): This was the first weapon Alahandra learned to wield, and when in dire straights it is this that she turns to in order to bring her most dangerous foes to account. The weapon is not fancy as is her longsword, but the weapon is made of the sturdiest iron, and was forged by masters of the craft, it has served many a fight well and she is confident with it in her hand.

Longsword (Sunblade): This simple sword is an artifact of the monastery in which Alahandra was raised, and its origins are unknown although the monks rumor that it belonged to an early champion of their beloved light. What actual powers it may poses, if any, are unknown to any within the order but it is said that it will come to the aid of a warrior of virtue and purity.

Regardless of its possible mystical nature, it is work of true beauty. The blade itself is a shimmering blade that looks as if made of quicksilver flowing directly into the golden pummel, which itself is in the shape of an angel with her arms crossed over her chest and her feet overlapping pointing toward the blade.

Armor: Moderate, breastplate (Armor of the Dove): The armor was custom made for Alahandra, and she alone can wear it without need for major adjustments. It shines a platinum white luminance, the front of which is finely detailed with miniature murals of the champions to come before her, and the back with 2 doves each of which is going upward toward her shoulders.

Shield: Standard Bluckler shield, which is round in shape and straps neatly to the forarm of the wearer. It is not large and bulky, but it is effective in deflecting blows. In the middle of the shield there is a small spike, sometimes used to shieldbash an opponent and hopefully puncture armor, more often to catch and hold a weapon to create an opening for a strike.

Companion: Horse, named Zahira (meaning shining or luminous). Zahira is a pure while stallion of the finest breed which was trained with loving care by Alahandra herself, both share a bond of friendship beyond what is normal for a rider and mount.

Bio: Orphaned as a very young child, she left on the step of a monastery dedicated to the element of Light. The monks had no idea what the childs name was, so they gave her the name Alahandra, her last name being Akemi which means "of the morning dawn" since that was when she was found. As she grew the monks gave her a proper education, and in time she learned like all the others to wield weapons in defense of her monastery. Upon reaching the age of majority (18) she was given the role of protector of the monastery and took to it with earnest, now 5 years later she is battle proven and ready, her faith and connection to her element is secure, the shy young child was now a valiant champion.

Darts: Not a normal dart of your imagination, this is made of a solid wooden shaft about 10 inches in length ending in a barbed metal tip. These are simple mountain weapons often used for hunting and defense against predators, unless they hit a critical location death will not be an issue for a human but the barbs hold the dart in and cause pain and blood loss over time.

Shortspear: Another simple mountain weapon if not one of the most basic known, this one however is much more lethal in its design. Instead of the normal wooden staff with a iron tip, this is a solid iron staff about the thickness o

ic: Raine Yubari

"Stop here!" Raine said clearly through the curtain of her palanquin. The four men carrying her stopped quickly and lowered the ornate structure onto the ground. A single pure white hand lifted the black silk curtain back, Raine's brilliant ivory face moved slowly in between the two curtains, her eyes opened slowly revealing her eyes that were whiter than her skin, she had no pupils or irises leading many people to beleive she was blind. This was not technicaly true, although she did see differently too most people, seeing light and shade rather than colour. Her face disapeared once more and a slender leg moved out followed by another. Her black cloth shoes touched the muddy floor gently. As she put her weight on them they sunk slightly into the muddy ground.
"Lady Yubari, Master Meist asked that you would wait in the palanquin until we arrive at the arena." The leader of the men said smiling at the woman.
"Oh, I see." Raine said slipping slowly back into her dark world.
"Thank you Mi'Lady, we will be there soon. Do not worry." The man said bowing to the curtain. "Move on men."

IC Adric Kay and Trufflehunter
Arena Stands, Tera City

Adric sat in the stands of the arena, hunched over a large scroll. To his right was his traveling pack, which he had set down. The top flap of it was opened. By it sat an empty scroll carrying-case. It was sturdy and waterproof. Adric carried all his ancient manuscripts in these to protect them from harm. It was a habit he had acquired on his long journeys. Many environments were extremely inimical to himself and his gear. On Adric?s left rested a large badger. He appeared to be focused on the manuscript Adric held. After a few moments of reading, Adric looked over at the badger. ?So what do you think, Trufflehunter? Is it an accurate portrayal of magic use during battle in ancient times?? Adric waited for a moment as a look came across his face, as if he was listening to something that nobody else could hear. In fact, nobody else could hear Trufflehunter talking to him. Of course, everyone could hear him because he spoke out loud.

No, not really.

?What? How can you say that it?s not? It is an authentic document from that time period and it shows elemental powers in both large and small conflicts.? Again the expression.

It is a story and thus is probably not completely accurate.

?That?s a weak argument. Even if it is a story, it would be modeled on real life warfare practices.?

What about historical bias? The story obviously favors one side.

?That still doesn?t outweigh the fact that it is modeled on real life.?

Actually it does. The text shows a very strong bias, so much so that it becomes something of a good versus evil fight. It even shows elemental superiority. The good guys use one set of elements and the bad guys another.

?You may be right. Why don't we continue reading?? Adric turned back to the ancient manuscript. He stole a guilty glance at his pack. He was supposed to be recording what was going on in the tournament. But reading this was more interesting. He decided he would put it away in a little bit.

Raine walked slowly into the stands surrounded by her guards. She stood infront of a bench and waited for a guard to place a small cusion on it before she sat down softly. The guards took up the positions on either side, in front and behind her. Her long black hair was tied back in an extravagent set of hoops that all finished with numerous braids. She turned her head slowly as she observed her suroundings and noticed a man reading a scroll and talking to a badger.
"Mio, that man is talking to a badger." She stated frowning slightly.
"Is he ma'am? Is something wrong with that?" He asked assuming this was one of her fantasies.
"It disturbes me. Please make him stop." She said nodding slightly, confirming in her mind that talking to badgers was strange behaviour indeed.
"Uh... yes Ma'am, as you wish." The guard said, he was slightly bemused by his task and was sure he was going to make a fool of himself. He walked slowly along the stand and coughed near the badger-man. "Excuse me sir, the Lady Yubari asks that you do not hold conversations with your.... badger. It... un nerves her".

Overhearing the guard's request of the man, Soleil paused in her work to watch. The guard's charge, a fragile-looking dark-haired woman, sat a few feet away. She seemed to be of the Darkness clan, though Soleil could not be sure. As for the man who could talk to his badger...Soleil might have expected such a thing from a Life elemental, perhaps, but again, she wasn't sure. In any case, the dark-haired woman was, in Soleil's opinion, behaving something like a spoiled child. "It's a free world...If you don't like people conversing with their animal friends, I'm sure there are still plenty of open seats elsewhere..." she muttered low enough for none to hear. Weaving a pink rosebud into her wreath, she continued to look on, curious as to what the man would say.

Well she wasn?t going to get her way this time. Adric looked the guard in the eye. ?Trufflehunter is my animal companion, and I am free to talk with him if I want to. Na'Zine Ya'Warri & Fa'kira Longstrider
Tera City

Na'Zine was estactic. It was the first festival that he had ever attended that had been within his own territory. And he was proud, to have such magesty shown off. The area was decorated by such artistry from the best in their field. He hoped he would be as good one day, as his hands brushed the earthen sturctures.

Fa'kiara was spellbound. It was the first festival she had ever attended, and she marveled at the structures, and how they were formed. Na'Zine would point out various things from time to time, and she would study them, interested. "Can you do that?" she asked him, and he would only smile, and continue to work.

Fa'kira laughed softly. She knew that Na'Zine had just recently started to use his powers more. He was usually much more low keyed than she. But he had been practicing much more, now that they traveled together, as if making up for lost time. She reached down, patting Cerbus on the head, as they walked, he walked next to her, his tail happily wagging. Cerbus had taken a bit to get used to Na'Zine. But now, he was considered family as well, but Fa'kira would always be his Mistress. After a bit of time, Fa'kira and Na'Zine had seperated, as the battles began.

High in the stands
Kira found herself high in the stands of the circular arena, watching the area actions. She hoped Naz would do well. Over to the side, was another box. She peeked ever so often. To meet one Immortal was a challenge. To see an entire panthoion of them, was breathtaking. She didnt pay much attention to the chatter around her, she was in awe. Her eyes drifted back to look where Na'Zine waited with the other contestants. She heard someone arguring nearby, as Cerbus head turned to look. He decided it was not a threat to his mistress, and panted hapilly, snuggled closer to her side, his huge head laying in her lap. Fa'Kira laid her staff to one side, keeping it out of the way of others. She waited nerviously for the next round of battles to begin.

Waiting area under the stands

Na'Zine is silent as he waits with the other, in a waiting room under the stands, where there are only a few torches here and there and sunlight peeking in here and there for light. He is calm and focused, as he watches the other contestants. He will be quite talkative later. But now, his focus was set. He wished he could see Fa'kira. She was so excited, that she literally bubbled. But he remained calm. He would be excited after the battles were done. Now, he ramined focus, and prepared for what was to come next.

The Blue haired preistess sat in meditation. Everything around her seemed to have a calming efect. The light, the tent, the quiet voices around her, everything helped her concentrate.

Sylwyn was chosen by the Sisterhood to fight in the tourney, her powers had advanced very quicky over the past few years, and they thought she woulkd be the best choice to represent their group.

From her appearence, it was rather obvious she represented the water element, as blues were the primary color. Her outfit (as seen in the picture I posted in the character sheet) while elegant, was practical too. The Sisterhood had made this especally for her. She sat on the floor, her legs crossed, and eyes halfway closed. The longest whisps of her hair brushed theground she sat on. She smiled sweetly, and waited.
